Black Wings fanart

RAWR. Take 3... .____.

I kind of messed up on the strings here... :/
 Spoiler

My own retarded way of drawing the Puppeteer if he were to appear in the story I'm working on. He looks a little crazy here.... >D
 Spoiler

Something random I did to see which character has the moldiest green hair. The one on the left is an original character of a friend that has nothing to do with MapleStory
 Spoiler

This is my most favorite drawing I've done of the Puppeteer to this date. I'm going crazy because this is the third time I'm typing this... >O
 Spoiler

The Master of Disguise - I forgot what I said about this guy earlier... :|
 Spoiler

The Black Witch...who doesn't wear a shred of black on her... :| Enjoy the many mistakes I made!! Big Grin

Any critique is encouraged and thanks for viewing!! >D

Good stuff you got there. Definitely like the second one out the whole bunch, the puppeteer's stance looks potent.

Try adding some more dynamic poses. Also, great shading!

This is the first thing I saw when I loaded this page.

But otherwise, I like 'em. Seem a little flat to me, though. Although it's kind of hard to give 2D sprites perspective.... :/

WHAT'S WRONG WITH GREEN HAIR?

All kidding aside, nice drawings. I agree with Loose, the second one is very nice in stances.

I like how you can never see the Black Wing members' eyes. The coloring looks so great. a-@

Have you thought of drawing Dargoth and the Shadow Warrior as well?

The colour pencil colouring here is extremely neat considering the tendency of colour pencils to suck at colouring in large areas without looking generally messy (in my experience anyway, I must just suck with colour pencils).

Also L> more dynamic poses and backgrounds. Adding a background can really ramp up the percieved quality of a piece if it's consistent with the foreground subject. Backgrounds also help with defining light sources and character positioning/perspective to a casual viewer.

Very good. May I reccomend drawing some of the aran/evan black wings people? (Mainly being that bunny and Gentleman)

@Loose
Thanks! And yes, I need to work on dynamic poses more. I've attempted every now and then (for my own characters, etc) but I always end up finding something wrong or off and I never finish them... :|

@Hazzy
Yes, I noticed the VERY UNFORTUNATE positioning of his hands AFTER I finished drawing that... ._______________________________.

Yah I'm still working on shading. The first one has terrible shading because I finished that before I remember my old technique of blending and layering colors I did long ago.

@DualReaver
Thanks! Big Grin Hopefully, I'll start working on dynamic poses more - I already draw too much standing-around-and-doing-nothing poses, especially since the main character in my story I've been working on forever tends to do that a lot... xD

@SlayerZach
Yah, it gives them a more creepier look then if they showed them their eyes since they look like "normal" NPCs...THAT FLOAT. For some reason, I imagine them all with red eyes even though they glow YELLOW ... :| And yes, I'm planning to draw them eventually.

@Beg
Thanks for all the tips! Big Grin The coloring is neat only because I went back and used a blender. Or else, it would probably look rougher ;P Though I'm not that great with backgrounds, I'll try to put them in next time. I still have problems with light sources so that's something else I need to work on.

@Erich
I never finished the picture of Gentleman I started a while ago - since he's after the Seal Stones, I decided too late to have him holding one but I already colored in the background... xP Also, I don't think I'm familiar with the bunny guy - any references for him by chance? Big Grin

Thanks for the comments and tips everyone! So the stuff I'll work on:

Dynamic poses
Adding backgrounds
Work on CONSISTANT light sources
DYNAMIC POSES!! >O

More sometime in the future! >D
