The only expected ones to me were Devil's Sunrise and Rick. I didn't see the other ones coming. Haha.

Since I'm the one who nominated 6 out of the 7 who were candidates and have logged into the IRC exactly four times both guesses are pretty much invalidated.

And even if it was just IRC users who were picked, there's a good reason for it. You can't get a full picture of someone's personality from forum posts. IRC is a wonderful means of picking moderators because it's live and you see who people really are without the mask of a forum and long thought-out responses to each issue.
