Limited Edition Classes

byakugan Wrote:And this.

What the hell is going on with Nexon Korea?. Even though Nexon NA is a branch of Korea it always seemed they were 2 different companies, but this is making them look more and more greedy. Maybe it's too soon to make any asumptions but still it seems Nexon korea got corrupted.
Thought KMS was good long ago before they started nerfing all the world tour with storyline that could have been made by a 13 year old or something and making bad new content Tongue . JMS ftw now Rolleyes lol.

Not really. JMS has that freaking pet that adds +30 to all stats when max lvl'ed. Out of that, I agree.

Every version of MS now has ridiculous and unnecessary stat/exp boosts accessible in some form. This game has crawled out of its infancy and begun the accelerating descent toward its end. It's only going to get more and more insane as they try to keep interest in this game alive.

They just added 4th job after having KoC be super overpowered for a while.

Brilliant idea to put hours of slaving away on designing and programming something for a long time that won't be available after a limited period of time. How lame.

With this going on, I wonder if it's the rise of some sort of "premium class". My guess is this if Dual Blade truly is going to be a class totally separate from the release of hero classes with more in Dual Blade's model to follow for the other classes (we'll call these "premium classes")- they aren't heroes, but it's not entirely adventurers either even if they have the same background as adventurers- being given ridiculous godmoded abilities and tons of cool new ones; and all are given a limited time chance and all have dependence on Cash Shop to be able to play (Skillbooks in the Cash Shop, anyone?! Correct me if I'm butchering facts here on how that works).

That's old news. I take it nothing interesting has happened since 4th job? Angry

Dungeons & Dragons Online recently went F2P w/ Microtransactions. One of the optional payments is apparently buying classes that you can only get with paying money. So nothing new... but I wonder if they'll just reopen creations later in the future.

Same with another game that a friend of mine used to play. game in question: Dofus. pay for the advantages, what they were, and gain access to one class. the class was a panda that fought with its fist, and got drunk to do so, but it was one of the hardest classes to play as.

personally, i like this. it opens up a LOT of story to it. a LOT! Imagine that the school is found by the dark lord, and then he and sulhee have an epic dual to the end, and Sulhee, after thoroughly kicking the dark lords ass, is about to deal the final blow, and has a sudden attack of the "i love him still"'s, and he uses a cheap attack and that KO's her. i mean, he KILLED her father, whats not to say he wont betray her AGAIN? lying in defeat and shame, she vows to leave the city and to take her ways with her, to another land. thereby, the dark lord assures his dominance as the master of all theives in maple-land, and instead of dealing with the traitors, he takes them under his wing and accepts them as his own. he learns from them, and takes sulhee's teachings and makes them his own.

then, the real thief legend shows up...

All attack pots have a doubled value (ie. 200 Attack Apples) since more than half a year.

I actually like this idea. It's like an bonus for the players..
Anyway, I wonder what's the "big" March patch they were talking about :f6:

If it is a limited edition job, once it is finished, Nexon will have zero incentive to add new items (eg dual blade scrolls), enhancements, or fix skills. Like pirates, only worse.

Fun thing is that EVERYONE out there will be buying character slot expansions. Quite a weird way to make money, but hey, it works!

I won't. So that doesn't make it everyone.

I mainly mean Nexon Korea. As for me, I can't make new accounts, due to the european restriction, but I can surely delete an old character I NEVER use and didn't get past lv 30.

I thought that generally 1 free character slot was supplied whenever a new class came out. Having more than 1 dual blade on an account seems redundant unless they're for selling purposes. Even then how many times are you gonna mess up the character you just paid real money/lots of mesos for (like a tool), really now :/

As speculated by some, it's probably 'free' for the event time being, then either available for purchase by NX or the event reoccurs some time later.

Why are you guys surprised? This is a perfect way to generate income. Don't you see games on consoles that if you pre-order you get additional content that otherwise can only be gotten through the store months after release? Don't blame them for trying to earn money, like every other company out there. Just take advantage of the situation and create your Dual Blade now.
