I mean, it's to the point now where Nexon can't even patch up their own game without breaking something. Every time we have a patch, it's extended every hour for some dumbass reason, and when it's done, half of our skills don't work right, we're missing some crucial quest, or the game just disconnects us in random places. Good lord, Nexon, this is your response to hackings? You're too lazy to get in and do actual GM work, so you take the lazy man's way out and just ban IP's so you don't have to do anything. I've hated Nexon for quite some time now, but now my hatred is turning into complete, un-adultered malice. I enjoy playing the game, unlike most, but these constant screw-ups are making it really hard for me to stay.

I'm quite sick of coming in after a patch, only to find that I'm STILL being disconnected because of Dragon's Breath + Blizzard and that my Blizzard/Frostprey skills don't freeze 100% anymore. I've honestly done some random brainstorming on just what could cause a company to suck so much ass, but I end up at the same place every time: there is no explanation except pure laziness and apathy. They are money-whoring asswipes that don't give a damn about their players. From what I see, they code like freshmen in college, they're slow as Michael Moore on a treadmill, and they're just straight up hypocrites. For [f]ucks sake, Nexon, take give-a-damn lessons from Blizzard and Valve. Gah, maybe this reply goes in the angry dome, but goddamnit I 'm so sick of this, I really am.

Well said. I'm getting tired of people defending this company, I saw a few pro Nexon posts yesterday but I'm sure they have no response to this, hell they stopped posting. I love the game but this is too much pomegranate now. I just want Nexon to get it right for once; if they have to shut down the game for 24 hours or more to get everything fixed, then so be it. Go ahead and do it. These random server checks here and there that does nothing but screw things up even more is not helping. Get your pomegranate together Nexon. My accounts were not affected by the IP bans but some of my friends and a few I HT with were affected and now they can't log on which pisses me off.

I don't think they should try to fix something that isn't broken. I am fine with PIC's, even though it's annoying at times (was hoping we could type instead of clicking like KMS but okay), but now this password change thing is possibly the dumbest idea they ever had, it's not even secured. It makes me wonder why they removed the security questions again. With the security questions and birthday info combined, they should allow you to edit e-mail and password. It shouldn't be that you log on your account on the site and it prompts you to change password right away without having to go through any procedures to verify that it's your account. I don't even know why we should be the ones to be telling them how to fix their own pomegranate, they're supposed to be professionals at this for fucks sake.

Man, this like watching a captain ordering his crew to set fire to a ship that is already sinking in order to save it. Everyone watching can see it's a really bad idea but the captain is panicking and doesn't know what else to do.

I'm laughing now, because people thought Neo City was the worst part in this patch.

It's a competition between Nexon and the hackers to see who can break this game faster.

Here's a quick link to obtaining a new IP if you're using a router that supports MAC cloning, and a DHCP IPs from your ISP.

So here's the breakdown.

You may log into 9 accounts, the 10th one will ip ban you.
The first mandatory pw change requires no info except account name & pw.
Any account that tried to log in and generated an ip ban or tried to log in after ip ban was placed will be required to have a password change and verification from e-mail to re-activate account.
If your ISP supplies a dynamic IP you can reset your modem and hope for another one (I don't know what the limit is, but surley nexon ip ban file will be 5 gig in a few months.)
It seems you may log into the same account multiple times without difficulty.
It only counts the accoutns you log in, if you leave an account log in then it's not counted unless you relog.

Here's my questions:
Is the login limited by day, week, month, ever?
How long is nexon gonna track thise IPs?

Insucerities:
When manadatory pw change occures anyone with old pw can change it.
If someone finds out your pw they can fource you to have an e-mail verification and if you don't have the e-mail, you'll loose access to the account.

I think this thread is gonna be as long or longer than the hacking thread was.

Yep. That's Nexon's solution to everything. "Lets be as apathetic and as lazy as humaly possible." I swear, I think that's a prerequisite for working at Nexon America. I'm sick of my class being broken. I'm sick of random disconnects. I'm sick of completely mispelled words/horrid grammar in quest text (because sometimes it's so bad I can't even tell what to do next). I'm sick of Nexon taking the easy route in EVERYTHING they do. This is starting to frustrate me to the point where I can honestly say I most likely wouldn't care if I got IP banned for no reason. All this makes me wonder why I still play, I mean honestly.

And what's even funnier about this whole situation, is the fact that I know eighth graders that can program better [s]hit than Nexon. Case in point: I could have hired one of my old students to code the swear filter it took them THREE YEARS to fix. There's no reason the swear filter should have ever had a popup window saying "No cursing allowed." And not only that, but when it popped up, it disabled your controls until you clicked back in the game window, even in full screen. I cannot even beging to tell you how many safety charms I wasted because of that ludicrous swear filter. Then finally, they realized, "Hey durhhurhurhur we shud jus replac bad werds wiff astrisksksks", when MSEA had that from the get-go. So yeah, it's honestly beyond me how a company can be SO oblivious to everything that's going on around it, and meanwhile, not caring either. I really, REALLY wish I could have a talk with that [f]aggot VP of theirs and give him a piece of my goddamned mind. Enough is e-[f]ucking-nough already. You're ruining your own game Nexon, and you don't even care. Asshats.

God i wish nexon would just do a 2 week long server check /patch and fix all the stuf that does not work, is incorrectly formatted, all the everythign that needs fixed, and TEST it before they just dump it to the public. For those of you asking for tespia back, remember how this went last time, they opened tespia, people reported all the stuff that did not work right, nexon fixed 1-2 of them and then implimented it into the real game WITH ALL THE ERRORS unfixed, people were speachless that all the hard work they did in tespia to report all the errors wer just ignored by nexon and they put the content into the game unfixed.

Logged into my account via the website, it asked me to renew my password as soon as I tried to do stuff. I did it and had no complications, I explored deeper into my account information to check what e-mail I had used to sign up for this game about 4 years ago. I got the e-mail after answering with my fake last name and birthday. I was able to get into that old ass e-mail and checked out the e-mail that Nexon sent me when renew the password. It was something like, "Password's been changed, if this is not cool then click this to reset."

By the way, I only have one account.

Indeed. In fact, I'd prefer if they changed every Mapletip in the game to this and kept it like this forever. It's much more refreshing to see "[??] ???? ? ?? ???? ? ? ??? ?" than some engrish giving me the most obvious advice ever like "[Mapletp] Opening unknown email attachments can lead to hack" or "[Mapletip] AHOY MATEY, PIRATES OUT!"

-hime- Wrote:Attention Nexon gamers,

We recently implemented an IP blocking system that helps reduce unwanted logins from gold sellers and spammers. While this will help us combat those groups, under special circumstances legitimate players may be IP blocked from the website as well.

If you are receiving this message, PLEASE use the unblock request form on the error message so that we can review and approve the request. In the meantime, we suggest flagged players check back with us occasionally to see if you can log in.

Thank you, and we hope to address affected players as quickly as possible.

[MapleTip] Please do not visit websites that are by anybody other than Nexon. If
you do this, your account information, birthday, password and PIN may be unsafe.
Look out for social engineering too, anybody who asks for your personal information
ingame may be trying to steal your precious NX. Change your password every time
you log in, or you may be banned summarily.

The Pirate ones excite me so much! New jobs! Fo shizzle.

My recommendation: Tell Nexon your IP is an academic institution, and you share it with like 20,000 other people.

Personally, I can't log in anyway because the website doesn't work, but hey, I guess this security upgrade is good for anyone who can get in game.

i have heard from people that have had the problem with the website that using a different type of brouser worked, internet exporer better than firefox or w.e. give that a shot (i know you probobly already have but ffs i can't maple so wtp else am i suppose to do other than make captain obvious post.)

ALSO just type ?? in all chat in game and you make the [??] ???, ????? ??? ???? ???????? ?? yellow on everyones screen that is in your map, it also works for anyone in your party chat or anyone you wisper, have fun with that, there is a 10 second delay between the ?? so don't expect to spam it.

According to Hime/Prose, they took down Tespia because they believed they were getting a ton of false reports, including requests like "Can I be GM?". The smart thing they could have done instead of taking down Tespia is invite the ones with a record of legitimate reports instead of accepting randoms monthly, but hey, it's Nexon, can't put logic and Nexon together. Though in my opinion, I think laziness played a bigger role on why Tespia is not around.
