Heart Gold / Soul Silver need to know

Soul Silver, just because it reminds me of the rivalry my friend and I had as a child.

I intend to have an English of both sometime in the future, but I'm only getting Gold now. Don't need an English and Japanese Silver. :|

Yeah, I have to say, HG and SS have probably the best sound track of any Pokemon game to date. There are so many awesome songs in it.

I'm getting Soul Silver, simply because I had the original Silver and I don't like Ho-oh enough to get Heart Gold for the exclusives (which I can get trough the MTS/trade from my Diamond or Platinum/Pal Park) and I can make a team without them anyway (Typhlosion, Ampharos, Crobat, Gyarados, Victreebel and Gengar). That and I like Soul Silver's color scheme for certain things (menus and such) more than that of Heart Gold (played both on a flashcard but I want the official).

I live in Europe so I still have to wait till the end of March to get it. But the wait is worth it, and I get to finish my FireRed playtrough.

Yeh I find the colour more eye pleasing.. I hate having to wait til the end of March.. It'd be nice if the English versions were released at the same time. D: Rather then scattered over a fortnight and whatnot... :f6: I wish the stores in Aus would do the Lugia and Ho-Oh figurines they were awesome, I still have a little badge from when I bought gold.. Yay for Ho-Oh though I wish I had a Lugia one xD

Voted neither because:
a) Don't own DS
b) Probably getting it on emulator if I want it that bad

But if I did get it on emulator, probably Soul Silver. Back then during the GSC era, I got Gold because my cousin got Silver. He had Lugia, while I had Ho-oh. Good times. Now I want Soul Silver because I realize Lugia > Ho-oh, and Aeroblast is just too goddamn awesome.

PS: Damn you, Spidey. Those songs are super-nostalgic. I'm suddenly missing my Gold version right now. .___.; I wonder what I did with it . . . Had all lv 100s, iirc. Yes, trained, well.. except for the last 3. LOLmissingno

Lugia looks better than Ho-Oh. which was my reasoning for choosing Silver originally. My brother wanted the "Gold cause everyone knows Gold >> Silver irl" (keep in mind we're like not even middle school yet i think).

I loved the G/S/C soundtrack. Friggin awesome. AND you get to go to Kanto too. Such a boss game. Not to mention both lengedaries.

I had Silver as well but I'm getting Heart Gold. Doesn't really matter either way since trading exists, but I prefer HG's exclusives.

Imma import all my Pokemans from my friend's pirated Pearl and my bought Platinum to Soul Silver. Solves the problem of exclusives. Besides, Ho-oh sucks. Lugia was always a favorite of mine in terms of looks.

I had Crystal back in the days, but I'm going for Soul Silver.
Generally because it has Ledian, Delibird and Swalot. Oh and because Vulpix was pretty much the only Pokémon I couldn't get when I had Crystal. I had Red and Crystal only.

Pre-ordered Soul Silver for the figure obviously, and cover wise I prefer Lugia as well.

Soul Silver, because with every Pokemon game, me and my brother always get the opposites so that we manage to not lose out on exclusives (like Arcanine) too much; and as a kid, I chose Silver because of there being Lugia as the version's mascot- and after Pokemon the Movie 2000, I thought he was the cooler of the two.
Picking Silver because it was actually my favorite of the two. It did suck that Ho-Oh didn't have Sacred Fire when I had to go later in the game to catch it at level 70 in the original Silver, but they actually changed it now so that in HG when you catch Lugia, he'll still have Aeroblast and same concept with Ho-oh and Sacred Fire in SS; unlike the original where if you had to catch the other legendary that isn't the version's mascot, they wouldn't have those moves.
Kinda sucks to have to take Groudon instead of Kyogre, but eh- it's fine with me.

And goddamn, they really improved the theme for Lance/Red a lot. Hands down my favorite song in any Pokemon game.

I don't know about the exclusives for the remakes, but back then, I think the ONLY exclusives were the cover-Pokemon. Ho-oh or Lugia. I was naive to think Ho-oh was better than Lugia back then, lol.

Both on a Dsone thingie, most probably gonna go on FriendCodes.com or whatever that site was and get someone to help me get 3 starters on each game and transfer some pokies.

I had Silver, was my favorite out of all of them. Either game is fine for me, because I don't use any of the pokemon listed in the exclusives set. I'm gonna go dig up my old game and see what I had, so I can nostalgia trip this pomegranate.
