IP banning on maple, due to Password changing.
#21
Did anything happen to the accounts, or was it just an IP ban? Just because the ban notice didn't mention it doesn't mean Nexon wouldn't do it.

I only changed 2 of my account info. I didn't change my mule-account's info because I don't want Nexon to ban my IP. That would suck. I'll probably do that at university tomorrow.

Hmm, I did mine and my husbands because he's too lazy. I'll go to my mom's tomorrow and do a batch to avoid any issue with my IP. If hers gets banned who cares.

Nexon encourages you to steal neighbours' and strangers connections for security purposes, oh the irony...

Sorta makes sense...you're not supposed to have 7 accounts (according to Nexon, anyway), so they did this as a measure against those changing passwords for an assload of accounts that aren't theirs.

I filled out the form and let the know about my11 brothers and sisters that all share the same computer, not to mention all my cousins and friends. Goggleemoticon Shine

I got the "verification" email after changing my password, but it was not for verification but rather informing you that your password had been changed. the only links in that email are to the "find my password" option in the website.

I changed my IP and got things back working. However, a few accounts still can't login due to a pw reset error. It might be caused by too many pw changes on the same account, as the accounts that have it all have 3 or more changes today already from when I was testing stuff out to hide/change IP.

Ok this is getting ridiculous...first I deal with Nexon's stupidity in dealing with my account getting hacked......*still no reply on that ticket btw*...and NOW I have to deal with their freaking auto IP Banning? Hell I was honest and told them "Look I have multiple accounts for muling and storage because even with maxed out slot expansion I wouldn't have enough room! So like EVERY OTHER MAPLESTORY PLAYER, I created "Mule accounts". Now while you've required this password change, I simply have done what you(Nexon) wanted and attempted to secure my accounts by changing their passwords. In doing so you randomly decide to IP ban me, and lock down my account? *facepalm* Fix the problem please, kthnx"

Justin Wrote:Pretty sure Nexon said years ago you're not supposed to have multiple accounts. Is it being enforced? Possibly. I don't like it myself, just saying.

I'm pretty sure they made a full refund for some hacking victim with valuable in-game items, and that person clearly mentioned his "mule" in his ticket. The items were given to his mule as well. If Nexon had been so anal about multiple account, they wouldn't have gone through the trouble.

OMG so much for doing a perfect bingo card ffs, if they had a customer service department that did not take 2-7 days to respond this would be a simple problem fixed and no one would post about it, but this is nexon, every simple thing is like pulling teeth.
