Optimist: They think you're securing your hacked accounts. This is to stop you. Sucks man
Realist: God dammit Nexon. Go die in a pit.

Nexon seems to live in the illusion that people don't have multiple accounts, and that everyone can fit all their crap on one. Therefore anyone logging into 10 accounts is a hacker and or account sharer.

I changed passwords for 9 accounts and on the tenth one I got blocked. Didn't know you have to start getting penalized for security your accounts. But wait, isn't this whole maintenance to promote better security?

Pretty sure Nexon said years ago you're not supposed to have multiple accounts. Is it being enforced? Possibly. I don't like it myself, just saying.

Mixed feelings. They should try to contact you to verify they're all yours (or you should contact you)

Otherwise this is a good preventative measure. Too bad they still suck.

How many people could fit all of their crap on one account if they maxed out all the slots, etc? Curious, as my mults are more for new jobs than space. That said, the 12(?) slot max isn't enough for me to play with all of the new jobs I might want to use. :[

Oh great so now I have to update just a few accounts at a time or I get banned because they force me to change my password? Super.

is this only due to password changing on the website?

or loggin different accounts ingame under the same ip? because if its that... those of us with mains on different accounts combined with mule accts aren't gonna be happy campers ;[

True dat, it's only recently they started with the slot expansion anyway(Pirate patch) anytime before then you had no choice but to make an alternate account whereas I can presume that most of these probably came around that time.

Back on-topic: I have a half-baked idea that this is possibly designed to prevent hackers to change multiple passwords if by some chance they take hold of your original account information.

Nothing stops them doing quite a few things to get around the system. There always seems to be holes in it no matter which way you look at it for both hackers and players alike. I can only speculate or theorize the possible reasons why they made it this way until they communicate some kind of official statement to the players.
