Oberon Attack Glitch
#1
Ok, so as far as I know this boss should not be able to attack through your invincibility frames - but she can. See the video below:

As you can see I get hit for 2083 damage, and then immediately after for 3688 - resulting in my death and loss of 5%.

Just posting on here to warn those of you who can't take this kind of damage consecutively, and to find out whether or not this is a glitch.

EDIT: New observation - is that damage reflect that killed me?

EDIT2: I apologize for the video quality, I usually have a much higher standard for the quality of my videos, but I'm not logged into the OS that has my good video editor and had to use Windows Movie Maker instead.

I watched the hits, and you didn't do the 3688, you did 38xx or something? I forgot. But I'm not sure if it was damage reflect or not. Interesting boss..

A boss reflects half of the damage you deal to it (I think, I dont remember) so it is a very dangerous skill even with oberon

Boss does some thing that makes every one of your attacks do null damage to the boss and a marginal amount of the damage back to you as if the boss was attacking you themselves.

In other words you hurt yourself.

correct, however damage reflect damage is a set ammount based on a number in the skill not a % of what you deal. tested on the horse guy in ToT, strafe and snipe reflect the same damage.

As well as observed in Balrog Boss, 1k~9k randomly, regardless of the damage you deal. I think the values are set for each specific mob.

The effect comes in immediately when the animation for it starts and not even when the icon shows up, and you get reflected right when you press your attack skill key. Reflexes don't even matter for damage reflect, you're basically forced to anticipate it if you don't have much hp, which means looking into the data to see % hp it starts at and cooldown or die tons of times before you figure it out. The damage reflected is based on a random amount in a fixed range depending on the monster. The kMS developers have unfortunately associated this with "difficulty." It's really brutal to pretty much every non-warrior/buccaneer class, especially magicians as it ignores magic guard.

Does Oberon only cast weapon damage reflect then? I was able to attack just fine on my AM. I didn't test it very thoroughly though, seeing as it was dead within the minute (was being cautious because of skimming this thread beforehand and reading "damage reflect").

It seemed to have a few other attacks as well, Fake kicked in on those for me. The 2nd time I went to kill her(successfully), she didn't even cast damage reflect.
