Verification??

It won't let me log in now, when I do, this happens...




And when I actually click on ok, it takes me to this page...



Is this just me? Thinking it could just be 1 acc,I tried all the accs I own, and this pops up on all of them...
What's going on here???

I think it's their way to block people from logging into the game for they can run their maintenance. But this is much more stupid than that. Yes, we complain that they do too many server checks, but I much rather they shut the game down to run their maintenance than to keep the game up and put that stupid notice to block others from logging in. All it does is scare people. What the hell is the point of keeping the servers up and have a few of us in the game while blocking others from logging in?

Regarding the screenshot nexon is probably purging out old accounts that are taking up space. Accounts that were used from a long time ago haven't been login so might as well clean those accounts out. Also your not suppose to get to that login screen anymore, maybe that's why you got that error?

Deleting inactive accounts is stupid, I don't want to have to log in every couple of months just so all my hard work won't get deleted.

I don't like verifying my main account because it didn't originally belong to me, I therefore have no access to the email if it is how I am going to have to verify.
Is anybody sure why this is?

You already would have verified your accounts so it wont get deleted, the inactive accounts that never login are in the un verified category. If nexon makes an announcement regarding verifying accounts it will be the players responsibility to verify all the accounts they tend to keep.

Also we don't know when nexon is going to implement this feature so we should just wait for more information regarding it.

Because it takes years to get to level 200, and if someone gets to level 200 and decides to take a 2 year break, he'd have to start from 0 again. + it's deleting history unnecessarily. I'm sure for example, if FangBlade, curryishott, Korwyn, Novinha, and Starlightzz, the top five people were deleted, there'd be quite a disturbance.

Like i said in my other posts if nexon decide to implement this system in those players will have to verify their account. Will it really be that hard to login just once to verify their account? Its your account its your responsibility to abide to nexon new features, the same way a few patches ago nexon made everyone read their new tos before logging in to the game.

The same way if you have a bank account with no money in it do you expect the bank to keep your account forever? The same is for nexon if you intend to keep playing maple verify your account so nexon can purge out the accounts that are catching dust.

These are your accounts not nexon, you have to take care of your account. When pic were implemented it was up to you to make a pic not nexon. If you want to keep your accounts history get it verified and don't peach if its gets deleted cause its your responsibility.

Wasn't there someone here already on Southperry who couldn't access his old university email anymore (he graduated - email got closed) for a PIC reset?

Logging in takes 2 minutes. If you can't do that in a year, your account should be deleted.

The main thing a lot of you are failing to see is We don't know what we have to do to verify the account. The page when you click "ok" is not even live so we don't know if this is going to be put in or not.

Just ignore him. He won't go away but at least he won't get the responses he's looking for, like this.

I like that they're deleting accounts that are inactive. I mean i can go verify my 10+ accounts no problem. But this means that we could possibly get those Epic names from people who haven't played maple since beta and just have level 23 characters.

I am sorry for having a different opinion. I'll be sure to disagree with EVERYTHING Nexon does from now on... I mean, they do everything just to pineapple with the players.

I actually agree with this. It's silly that there are so many scanian newbs taking up good names and space in their database when they haven't logged in in 3 years.

It wouldn't even be hard to make it fair. After 11 months of inactivity, they send you an email telling you to log on once or your account will be deleted on the 12th month.

an old friend recently came back to maple after 3 years of inactivity. Nexon will lose money from deleting old accounts (even if its not much)

If the way they do this is something like; After 2 years or more of inactivity, they send you an E-mail telling you to log on your account once or your account shall be deleted.
In that case I think it's fair. Even those people that has no access to their acc email usually keep talking to other people they met in MS, so they would still hear about this.

However, I'd still feel bad for those accounts of people that decided to quit MS (Specially when I think of that of my ex-GF who quitted years ago D
