RAGE AHOy
It's not like fire demon doesn't poison or allow poison use on monsters.
DualReaver Wrote:I believe you are forgetting that many bosses in Neo Tokyo are fire weak. Nibelung, Bergamot, and Core blaze are fire weak. I have more options as the other bosses have weaknesses ranging from lightning to ice. And only 2 monsters in all of Neo Tokyo are resistant to fire, so you're not completely screwed over by the area. You can't use any of your poison skills however, which I could understand why you would not like that.

I was under the impression more of the basic mobs were resistant to fire than all but two, so if that's the case then my apologies. However, the poison issue is big at bosses in the sense that Paralyze is a better DPS skill than Fire Arrow under all circumstances except for when the monster is Poison-immune or resistant. It's not like we have good DPS anyways, so it's especially frustrating to be reduced to using a 2nd Job skill as your main attack while bossing.

It's not like that's worth our time. As all of my high-leveled big DPS friends tell me, the true nature of the game nowadays is to ensure you deal the most damage in the least amount of time. It has come to the point with some of my friends where, at Zakum, they overly compete to see who gets stunned the least, because whoever is stunned the most loses the ks and thus the EXP. Now since that's how the game is played, I hope you understand why people who claim "well you can just poison and WAIT for damage to be dealt" find me a bit irritated.

I reserve the right to refuse to contribute any more monetary donations in the form of NX purchases to Nexon. Considering their entire business model is based off micro-transactions, this is not a trivial point.

? Are you relating what i just said to the whole "poisoning monsters COULD be good exp" thing we argued about months ago?

All i said was just because it's immune to poison doesn't mean that mages can't demon it to allow poison use. Since, you know, fire demon removes all elemental immunities.

Not at all. Your statement was 100% correct; all I was doing was commenting on it to further the discussion by relating the realistic aspects of the skill and why having to add that step to the equation makes LOLFPs that more pointless to play.
When I read this, my eye got stuck in twitching position for 5 minutes. Then I started to hit things.....
Meh, I don't care either way to be quite honest. I'm with Sarah on the subject

Mm I dunno what to think of this patch, it's better then just the mardi gras crap we got last week I guess..
Holy crap, it's DustBunny! Missed you man.

You guys are just being silly.

1. Complaining about something that wasn't promised? LOL OK
2. Whining about how Nexon's doing a bad job? LOL OK
3. Arguing that Neo City is crap because it gives bad exp rates? LOL OK
4. Raging about new content? LOL OK
5. Threatening to quit because Nexon didn't give what you wanted? LOL OK
6. My pants itch.

Come on guys, man up and just enjoy the patch.
why are you high levels disappointed that one of the largest high level areas was remade to be much much lower for a level range that does not need the extra area

This. So much this.

Ah well, at least now I don't have to worry about how all the bosses worth fighting would have been able to OHKO me. I guess I just wanted to farm Coreblaze and get new bullets/weapons. 70% angry, 30% relieved.
i got a question why argue about something that nexon did?...
you prefer to have no new content over new/bad content... also as the guy said in page 1 it was quite obvios we get neo city... and spamming "i am angry i am going to quit"
is just anoying... nobody cares... because the fact remains you will not quit even if we get neo city now Silence! lol

So once your parents ground you for no real reason, are you going to Silence! yourself? I'm not sure about you but this thread title seems to read "rage" and that pretty much sums up what it is about.
Dam, why the pineapple Neo CITY. I wanted those weapons. At first I didn't like Tokyo, that changed when I took a closer look at it. I guess I'll be making more mules, if I play. I even started to merchant a little so that I can afford the Neo Tokyo stuff, HP wash a little. I give up, Nexon, I'm butthurt.
Find another reason to complain than "high levels need another place to train". You guys have PLENTY of options. MrYanDao leveled to 200 at Squids(or was it Gobies?), FangBlade leveled at Skelegons, etc. You guys have PLENTY OF OPTIONS to train... time temple, squids, gobies, skelegons, newties... You are complaining just because you have to wait a couple more months for a new place that is NOT needed at all to complete the game? I didn't complain when I had to train at the same maps that are available right now and what level am I? It was pretty damn fast, too.

I hate to admit this, but I sort of agree with you, to an extent. While what you said is true, what you didn't mention is the fact that MMORPGs tends to increase in popularity and population. Over months, and years, the amount of people that plays will spike 'up'. That was then, this is now. However, if there were still the same amount of players as 2-3 years back, I would have gladly agreed with what you said 100%.

Reason is, let's assuming there's only 19 lv 150's per server. There are only 19 Squid maps. However, a month after, there are now more than 19. Where are the newer people going to train at? And let's assume Squids was the only higher leveled monster map, everywhere else had monsters below lv 8x. This is a relatively-small scale way of thinking it, but this can be applied to the current gMS as well.

What if all maps are preoccupied. You cannot go into a map demanding to have that map and KS someone out of it, that's just rude. So it's justified of them to want newer maps, but at the same time, if there are maps available that they 'choose' to not use (LOLvikings @ 12x in the old days), that's their fault.
High levels need something new to do that doesn't involve HHG1-class challenge.
Content-wise, we have the biggest updates coming through the rest of the year. We're talking HUGE. Every level from 1-200 will have new experiences to share, and new challenges to conquer. If you thought the last update was big, wait till you see what's coming.
Remind me again, what did 15x+ get?

Once again, its not just training areas... hell, unless you liked being stunned, seduced, and zombified the training would of rather sucked.

What made this place was the Items, Epic boss battles that were a challenge and didn't require washing, Epic quest, Epic Storyline, and the fact that it was an escape from Oblivion4/Newts/Skeles that didn't waste your time or screw you over. Hell, the monsters could really be 1 experience each and I wouldn't of given flying crap as long as they didn't nerf everything else -_-

@above, OOO I know, bosses we can 2hitko!

Considering that that's from April of 09, I'm gonna have to say (things that benefit 15x+, but are not specifically limited to them):

Temple of Time - New Training areas for certain classes
Maker - The ability to upgrade to Reverse equips
Mu Lung Dojo - Belts (Also the Witch Belt Event, I guess)
Cygnus Knights - The ability to get Blessing
The Secret Agent Event - Introduced some pretty fun equips, the best of all being the earrings
Malaysia - Scarlion and Targa Helms

Yeah, some of those were a stretch, but they did kinda deliver on their promise, and 2009 was a pretty good year. While it's stupid of me to be assume this, I'm sure that they have some pretty nice things lined up for 2010 as well. NexonKR's new high level area may not be a great as we expect it to be, but we should get it by the end of the year, and it should be something. We just have to be patient, the game's not going anywhere.
