I have no problem with that. Making a profit and gouging "buyers" and selling items for huge profits that benefit the "select few in the business" is another thing. Endgame bosses should be massive meso sinks. I'd be happy if bosses had no drops whatsoever. Bossing for the sake of having fun bossing should be the end in itself.

I can't remember a single major boss in any game that isn't killed for some sort of reward that exceeds the amount spent trying to down it. Whether that be exp, storyline, pride, or *gasp* MONEY.

Yes there is. Repeatedly killing something you've already killed is proof of your strength. What happened initially could be considered dumb-luck. Defeating it again would prove that it's completely because of the players.

But after you defeat it say, 5 times within a year, there's not much point in going back, and little incentive for older players to go with newer ones to fight the boss, meaning a lost oppertunity to anyone who wasn't part of first gen PB.

But that is when bossing it for money and gear takes into place. PB drops what, 5 time stones? That's 5 timeless gears in existence. Whoop-dee-doo, that's a lot isn't it! (SARCASM) One person could buy all 5 themselves, that means one person has benefited from the bean. If people are that greedy... a business will develop.
