Dance in the Vampire Bund 06: keikaku doori all 'round the house. I thought it was enjoyable in a different perspective. It definitely does not seem ordinary. Can't quite put my finger on what this is anymore.

Because judging by what other people pick to see I can make my own list. Hell, I follow one, two or... three shows each season and that's a lot for me. So these people's judgement is clearly better than mine, personal bias aside, and that's why I like to read what, for example, Dyxanije (who has pretty much the same tastes in anime I have), Joe, Spidey, madanthony, Salguod or even you want to watch.

 Ramblings

Chartpapaya's charts are usually my first look at what's coming up. I pretty much never dig around in advance, so it's kind of exciting. Pictures and summary are frequently enough to give me a sense of genre. Seeing as I'm incredibly hit and miss on romance and slice-of-life, these charts give me enough to know what to ignore in the beginning, and what to at least give a shot. Even if I ignore it, once it actually starts I might pick it up based on what others are saying here or the occassional editorial feature thing they do on ANN i.e. Kannagi. Studios and former projects are informative too. I would've glazed over Yojo-han Shinwa Taikei in my list if I didn't see "directed by the creator of Kaiba" in there. In terms of other's lists, I would've have known Black Rock Shooter was coming out if no one else had mentioned it. So at the very least, I skim other lists for info like this. It's not so much "I'm judging the entirety of this show based on a picture and a sentence" as "based on minimal info and my existing knowledge of what I [dis]like as well as the habits and projects of studios and previous shows I'm going to try out the following shows next season, then I will reassess based on the first few episodes and consider other shows based on what I'm hearing from other people". Nothing is set in stone here.

But really, it's just something to post about, which makes my epenis bigger, which makes me feel better, so why keep it to myself? And isn't that what the internet is all about?

I often (or rather, usually) find myself going against the crowd in anime, so much of what you do can't apply to me. I base my judgment of anime on database scores (if a lot of people like/hate it, there must be something there...) and my own experience.

I keep my own picks to myself because I know I'll be watching something else in the future. I mean if I'm going to post something, I might as well say something meaningful rather than something I know is totally useless and uninteresting.

Loved how this episode tied everything together. Slightly reminiscent of Haruhi and Baccano's ways of storytelling.

Black Rock Shooter is the Vocaloids thing, yes? Guess I'll join the hype wagon for it.

Actually, Black Rock Shooter was thought up of before the popularity of Vocaloid. The concept art was apparently made by Huke before Vocaloid even hit the market. She got tied to Vocaloid when Ryo (Supercell) composed the song for her. He thought her resemblance to Miku was quite funny, but it was purely coincidental.

In other words, it's not really tied closely to Vocaloid, but the song Ryo composed made it skyrocket in popularity.

Though you'd be missing out on a lot of underrated gems...

Yeah, I watch at least one episode of everything, and it's nice finding one series that nobody is talking about but is pretty good. I don't even usually worry too much about the lists released before the season. I use it to take a quick glance and pick out the most interesting sounding stuff first. That way I have a priority system on what to try out first.

Ladies vs Butlers ep 6
-squeals- EEEEEEEEEEK. Daichi is so cute. I always knew Daichi was a female, based on how he's drawn in the anime. So it's a female. Now it's confirmed. The last scene in this episode was TOO funny. The main character walked in in the bathroom as Daichi was undressed, and of course, he didn't noticed that Daichi was a chick, because Daichi is.. flat chested. Like, really flatchested. Daichi is an awesome character in this anime. moar.

Kimi ni Todoke 18: Shocked by the existence of an older brother (whose design sucks). Feels like she just thinks she likes him though, instead of actually doing so.

19: What had to come had to come.

Soranowoto 4: More good references to the futuristic past.

Dance in the Vampire Bund 4: I liked how the cellphone screen had really crappy quality. Mina feels like such an artificial character. Her actions and reactions are so unnatural. Befitting of her identity as a vampire, maybe, but I doubt that's the case.

5: Not sure where they're going with this.

6: How did they even fall for that? There's something I wonder about vampire/zombie/etc invasions. What do you do once you infect everyone?

Railgun 19: Spectacular. Great shots of Misaka capped with the Touma appearance. She was playing one of the songs from the show, right? I can't tell which though.

Hanamaru Kindergaten 4: Good stuff. I really enjoy the EDs.

Hidamari sketch x hoshi mittsu 6: Suddenly, EYECATCHES EVERYWHERE!

Ookami Kakushi 1-7 - I like the show, but they took a bit too long (around 3-4 episodes) to start actually getting into the story. The biggest problem I have with the show is the that protagonist is a little platypus. If Kuzumi would have actually stood up for Izuzu when she was being attacked by Nemuru, I would have a bit more respect for him. He just stood there like a little b!tch. Having him be a clueless, spineless, little kid is uggg....

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 45

Relaying information through to Roy Mustang was the huge highlight for the episode, as well as the fact that Greed fought Wrath again, though Greed escaped in the nick of time, I suppose. Now Greed and Ed teamed up, things are getting closer to the manga.

Durarara 7 - I like Shizuo. A lot. But that episode went no where.
Dance 7 - I'm getting the "I don't know the vast majority of the emotional content and a few minor plot elements of this show because I didn't read the source material" vibe. Like the movie The Golden Compass. Did not care for how they tried to do transitions and such either. But I got the action I wanted. I guess.

Bakemonogatari 14: HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG NADEKO. OH MY GOD MY NUT BLADDER AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Can't believe they delayed it for a month only to push this out. Animation quality was just bad. There wasn't QUALITY but you could easily tell they were just lazy with scenes and didn't put effort into a lot. In particular, Kanbaru's talking on the phone part. Senjougahara's tsundere service was just plain stupid. Hanekawa's tongue-twister and most related scenes on the other hand were <3

Hanamaru Youchien 07: Oh my God. Yamamoto's swim suit...again...but better...

Dance in the Vampire Bund 07: Hm. For the life of me I can't recall how this happened in the manga and I really feel like I'm missing a lot because of that. All I recall is him saving her from the cross falling in the manga and nothing after that. Can't wait for the recap episode next week! GO SHAFT =D

Vbund: It's not too good. Think I'll ditch it if it keeps going this way. Idk why, just not interested, really.

Oh? I thought that we had to wait for the friggin' DVD release of Tsubasa Cat Part 2 in March, but this is good to hear. Crap quality yet again? I hope the DVD fixes crap like this and episode 10's missing animations.

Durarara 7: This series isn't going anywhere really, too many flashbacks and too little focus on a coherent story; versus Baccano where we learn the outcome from episode 1, and we jump into the action quickly for one hell of a thrill ride. But oh man- friggin' "Shizzy"! Badass Dude? I think so. I wish they'd do more about the Slasher; this character might be this series's Rail Tracer, but they hardly bring any attention to him/her and focus on flashbacks and backstory of the massive cast instead.

Ladies vs Butlers 08: hnnnnnnnggggggggggggg awesome episode. Can't wait for more.
