Step 1 - Get one of those inflatable yoga balls
Step 2 - Pop it
Step 3 - Flip inside out
Step 4 - Tape together with thick and strong tape
Step 5 - Inflate again carefully
Step 6 - INVERTED SPHERE!

You disobeyed the laws.
No sharp creases or folds.

Holy crap, and I thought Calc had no RL application. xD
Mind = blown.

Made perfect sense to me.

Hardly a real life application, unless surfaces that can intersect each other like that exist IRL (watch them exist now).

Fun times though.

Cool, never thought about this before. Now I'm interested to see the other methods that she mentioned at the beginning.

I had yet to experience such a mixture of confusion, hunger, and arousal until I viewed this thread.

this surface can never exist as a surface but if you able to hold a network of atoms in place (wouldn't be a surface) with enough space to jostle around without hitting each other and yet maintain the charge/field between them (so that its a pseudo surface) you could do it. But to the best of my knowledge it has no practical use other than to prove a point/theories.

Makes sense but freaking hard to do.
Really? where can you find a ball that can pass through itself?

Everything which was felt was perfectly explained by the above poster.

Wow. That's really cool, but yeah, no RL applications unfortunately.

Maybe I'm a geek, but I actually enjoy this stuff and am thoroughly interested. My only complaint that the dude in the vid was slow... He takes way longer than he should to understand stuff.

Hahaha.

And there you have it, folks.

And what's up with the arbitrary rules that we "must" follow for some reason? Although that was pretty interesting, I think I agree with spidey. There's no point to figuring out a method to deal with a material that does not and cannot exist.
