What makes a guild "good"?

a good guild to me is one that is supportive, and close-nit

one that feels like family ;] which is why i love my guild <3

its not the number of members that count, its the people behind the characters ;]

A good guild is one that has me in it.

Therefore, as I am no longer playing maple, all guilds suck. Just join one your friends are in.

I like guilds that are small, quiet but always up for a chat, high level, friendly, does boss runs, and unknown which is why I love my guild Big Grin

Edit: As a result, everybody (the active people anyway) in guild is also connected through Buddy List too. Pretty cool no?

I don't really care about guilds. I get it one and then pretty much stay in it for the rest of the game, regardless of how inactive it gets and stuff. I usually can't be bothered looking for one, and I hardly even use guild chat.

i'm the same way, the only reason i'm guildless on all chars is the guilds disbanded after no one logged in.

I like guilds full of mostly quiet people who definitely can type proper English.

My Paladin is basically in a guild of its own and that works for me. I get irritated by too much chatter.

I have no friends on Maplestory.

Guilds are just there to enhance your name.

It depends on the person on what you call good and what you want out of it.

For me, I like being a small cozy guild than a big huge one. A small guild full of nice, mature, and fun people to hang out with than a large one with spammy noobies that likes to do nothing more than compare their damage to other people. Sure we may not do z runs or anything, but we do like to GPQ and do stuff together for the sake of hanging out. We don't care much about inactiveness since we understand there's a period in time that we are pretty busy with school and work.

A group of people with compatible personalities, who aren't egotistical stuck ups(unless you are too, and don't mind the ego), nor people that only boss together. Cooperation makes a guild its best, and understanding when and why your guildies would like to be cooperative with you is key. Potential training buddies are always nice to have as well. But back to my original point, compatible personalities are the most important.

Having one person(or a few) who always wants to go zakum(as an example), or nags frequently are not traits that I would want in a guildmate. Really it all boils down to how much you really enjoy being around the people in the guild - you can't always just be a douche and kick out anyone that doesn't fit your perfect likings, but having everyone understand where the boundaries are is always good. And don't look at that regarding only them, make sure that you yourself aren't being anything you wouldn't expect or want your guildmates to be.

Somewhat active members, people that aren't douche bags, feels like everyone knows each other like a community. And a guild that actually bosses instead of one of those guilds that always say they boss but never do.

For me, i would want a guild who stays together and does a lot of things together. In MapleSEA, where everybody's concerned about their levels, hanging out for a while feels nice.

I think the only thing that makes a guild good is that its members are happy being in it. High-leveled, low-leveled, whether or not they talk or train/boss with each other, none of it really matters so long as they're having fun.
