[Game Update] V.82

Patch files uploaded, and apparently they contain NOTHING. No new cash items either.

It looks like this patch will ONLY add the login-from-website system.

The real February patch has yet to come. And, according to -Hime-, we'll get some pretty neat things.

Remember that the same person said this "I really liked the game content that is going in this update." about the last patch which was 98% NX...

about time we get a decent content patch.

I'm going to keep saying this in every thread but don't take Hime's word for anything. Not that she's not trust-worthy, but I doubt she knows enough about Maple to differentiate between Neo Tokyo and Neo City.

Yeah, in order to get Neo Tokio, we would need kaede castle, and because GMS is a whole load of copypasta, its unlikely that we get it, HOWEVER! to get Neo city, we need kerning square (because both contnents are very close to each other) so... I think that we may eoither get Kerning square data this patch or.. who knows? maybe we get kaede castle data, and then Neo tokio and kaede get relased *v*

Best bet we have is that we're getting ulu city next. There's no proof of masteria yet, and neo tokyo requires kaede castle. Ulu city was hinted at as well in december, so yeah.

Everything Nexon has done to this point has pointed to a Neo City release. They only ever stray from Korea's path to add SEA exclusives, and that's only because it's convenient/doesn't interfere with Nexon Korea's data. Adding Neo Tokyo would interfere with their data. It's not going to happen.

1. How the HELL does adding Neo City mean getting rid of Zipangu? That's completely illogical. Adding new content =/= getting rid of any old content. Doesn't make sense. Please explain your reasoning as to why they'd have to remove Zipangu to add Neo City.
2. The data is in there; it's not active and it's not going to become active. Asiasoft is not as bound as Nexon America. We have tons of random ass data from random exclusive areas in our data too. Being there doesn't interfere with anything. It being translated just means that the translators were doing their job, not that it'll be used.

Neo Tokyo DOES interfere with Neo City though. Asiasoft doesn't care about continuity apparently but Nexon America's record says they clearly do, meaning we'll get the data that matches up with the Korean story. They'd be digging themselves into a hole if Nexon Korea later decided to expand on Neo City with actual story data.

Adding any butchered content implies removal of all previously implemented world tour areas. KMS did this.

Besides, the nexon notice used the SEA translated names.

Just a thought:

If nexon is really as greedy as they say, then they would prefer Neo Tokyo over Neo City. This is because you can buy the wallet from the cash shop to bypass the item collecting. I bet a fair amount of people will go for the wallet, providing more money for them in addition to new cash shop items. Based on our definition, they'd take profit over no profit at all.

If you didn't notice, we lost the Zipangu quests a few patches ago so it's possible that's their compromise. Leave the areas in but strip them of all meaning.
