Takebacker Wrote:Damn thief legend better be purely a str build. Unless they make an entire new double weapon class for these in which case it won't matter.

well, a pure str dit would explain the dual wield, though its a cheap ploy just to say "here, have a khanjar."
then if that were the case, wouldnt their unique weapon/armor/accessory/item be a shield?

I don't think they're dumb enough to just make another dit exactly like the other one. The dual wield is definitely their "new thing". What else would be better than something that people have asked for for YEARS?

I agree with the person that said the face accessory is what they give. Though that's gonna look really weird with glasses, and it wouldn't necessarily be good for TMS, since they have those damn face accessories already.

There better be some lower % somewhere if the dual wielding actually does do double the attack of each skill.

I would imagine this would be a weird slightly weaker shadower but has lots of supporting skills to make up for it, which actually makes it better in most peoples eyes because you can't get good support from a shadower. (compared to the obligatory -20% damage buff that legends have)

That's litteraly what it's been like for every legend so far and no one has complained.

TobiasBlack Wrote:one word: Testonen.

Oh right, but even that wouldn't be that new. Buccs can already do that so it's not very new, the only difference is that it would obviously be far stronger than a bucc is.

No more fist fighting pirates please.

That's getting old.

I say this to implying that a new thing for gunners is a cake walk. It's not.

The next logical step to legends was archers. What possible reason would they want to delay releasing a ranged legend?

Of course another logical assumption would be to say that they're releasing legends in order of what's most popular.

Yay Ninjas! Glitter

I don't see what the fuss is about with Shadowers. I'm a Shadower myself, but I don't see this as a threat to our current population/popularity.

Actually, one of the first things I thought when I saw that image was "Prince of Persia", which's movie is going to be released in the begin of the summe. It wouldn't be weird if Nexon wanted to take advantage of its hype.

That supports my speculation of a Lengendary sand bandit and its town in Ariant Rolleyes

Now it makes me wonder why I perfectly scrolled/whited a Reverse Dagger Rolleyes LF>some kinda of Scissor for reverse/timeless gears Mad

Outside of that, I would be more or less set if such a class does indeed come out. I'll play wait and see at this point.

This makes me wonder why Ariant, located so far away from Victoria Island, has quite a good number of late 1st job training areas and quests. They can't have been thinking this far ahead, can they?

Having a legend start at Ariant instead of Victoria Island could work out. However, the current Ariant maps definitely can't handle a ton of new people training there. If the legend's town is near Ariant, they are either going to have to add some sort of transportation option to quickly get to Victoria Island and back (besides Karasca after you complete his quests, and even then it's a ride to Victoria for 10k each), and/or they're going to seriously expand Ariant to include many more low level training areas.

...Then again, who says that this legend, if he has close ties to Ariant, has to start in Ariant? For all we know, he could just start somewhere within Victoria Island and then move his base of operations to Ariant later on.

I'm really confused here as to why everyone is thinking their daggers from their Shadowers, if this class is really a dual dagger weilding class, will work with their "Ivan" or whatever the name of this class, if this is a class, will end up being. If they use two weapons, wouldn't it be simple logic to figure out that Wizet/Nexon will make it so that the class will have TWO of the same weapon as a bundle? I mean surely they wouldn't add an entire new slot on the equip window screen, making it uglier, just so they can wear two daggers that currently are for single, front-handed use only. Not only that, but having to make a player come up with two different daggers at once and have to accumulate enough scrolls to improve their weapons would be way too much. It would be a huge loss for Nexon, since they're wanting more players to join, as you can see when they were releasing info about the amount of people who logged on Maple for Pirates, Cygnus, Arans, and Evan. Making an entirely NEW concept to the game (double-bundled weapons) for a class with dual wielding abilities would bring in more interest to the game than giving a class more of what already exists. My bets are that if this is a class and not a party quest or boss or whatever, the class will be built on an entirely new concept that's not in the game already.

Never said it was going to be easy to design, good job assumption.

I'm just saying that making ANOTHER knuckle using pirate would be ridiculously stupid.

They could make it super fast but really weak. Or they could make it so the gun hero does BACKFLIP SHOTS and uses stuff like GRENADES and BOOBY TRAPS.

Corsair - Battleship = wtp?

I'm not much for speculation, but I can't wait for these guys (and especially the supposed Crossbow Hero) to come out.

Not even (pun-ishness not intended). I am starting to close in on evidence that the difference that the Evan have in single-target DPM is even smaller than was previously anticipated...

Evan rant incoming:

However back on topic, fun times in speculation to be had by all, though the introduction of new weapons (someone said swords or something) would be annoying at its best and insanity among players at its worse. A tie-in to Ariant would be great, I know I'm still holding my Sand Bandits Member Badge because it's a good hiding place and I'm fearful they might throw new quests at me if I toss it out. Let's go, let's go, we're all anxious, who got in Tespia?

Compared to making a non-ranged class. Yeah. What's with the attitude anyway?

Baklava Wrote:I'm just saying that making ANOTHER knuckle using pirate would be ridiculously stupid.

It really wouldn't. There's tons of ways to modify a melee fighter (not that i can think of any), not so much for a ranged character. At least until you get to the whole "hmm how do we make this class totally not overpowered".

Or they could make another street fighter - maple edition.

Spadow got into Tespia and the new term started earlier today (or yesterday), but I asked him a few hours ago if there was anything new in Tespia. As everyone can probably tell from the lack of extractions, nothing aside from this teaser suddenly showing up on the KMS site. If I had to take a guess, we'll be seeing something about this in Tespia within the week, maybe even a few hours from now.

That's fair. It'll probably be nothing like current gunners. I just can't imagine what else they could do, but I guess that's why I'm not a game designer.
