Spaz Wrote:Yes, Steyr is worth the 60 SP for PVE. Though if you don't see yourself using Steyr in PvE, don't get it.

Notes on my previous remarks for PVE:

Aerial Fire is fine for PVE, it's nice for unloading a lot of bullets into enemies while they're down.
Mach Kick is good for PVE.
Flash Mine is still a 0, 1, or max skill.
Immo Booster is still worthless, I think Yeah, pretty worthless in PvE. Unless you use a Musket or Hand Cannon and you want to keep the enemy from rushing you. Other than that, very few uses.
Rising Shot + cancel is good for PVE
Punisher is good for breaking through super armor Just one point in this.
Land Runner is only quasi-useful in PVE. It can distract golems and some other monsters, but that might not be worth the SP. Definitely not worth the SP in PvE. Definitely not. And at higher levels, you won't even be using it. Also take into account that you don't gain cast speed from your mastery, unlike Mechanics that do.
Quick Rebound is cheap, might as well get it.
I consider backstep + cancel essential in PVE. It makes things like Naises and puppeteers a lot easier to fight, you can fire away and backstep when they try to cast something under you.

A few points in Cartridge Expansion would go well with Aerial Fire.

Just my opinions on a few things. Just because I didn't comment on something doesn't mean that I don't have an opinion. <- Not trying to sound pissy, although that sentence does sound like it.
Spaz Wrote:@IllegallySane: You could try partying. Isadora is a lot easier when you have 4 people ganging up on her.

But then it becomes too easy. Rolleyes I want to feel the tears of JOY when I take her down 2 more times for the quest. Also, I pretty much soloed everything so far. The only partying I did was as a requirement for the Thunderlands quest, and another was to help out someone clear a Sky Tower Dungeon which I had no quests left that involves said dungeon.
Thanks for all the help! Also what skills should I get in the future( napalm, C-4, sniper and so on)?

Max flashbang, max blazing bullet, max freeze grenade, get C4 to at least 5, maybe higher, get at least 1 in napalm, max(?) Neil the Sniper.
Yo, I just downloaded this game and have only gotten down the basics so far.

Actually, I've decided to switch over to a Mage, and I'm leaning toward being a Summoner. XD

Why only one napalm? It seems to be a very good skill. Also anone have any idea how much this is worth?

Yes, it's a good skill. But adding points gives relatively little increase compared to other skills. Most skills give around a ~8-10% increase in damage per 25 or 30 SP. Napalm gives ~5% increase per 35 PS. But napalm also increases other things like the explosion area, firey area, and firey area damage. It's your call whether to put more points into it.

And that sword is probably worth...nothing? It's a blue and +5 is easy enough to get.
Ding dong, the witch is dead.

 Spoiler

Fighting her on King's was a nightmare, for one good reason: IN the middle of the fight I ran out of clear cubes because they were taking up so much weight. My 2 cube moves, Chaos Hammer and Black Tortoise, made a huge difference in how easy it was fighting her. Without them, I was barely able to damage her fast enough to keep her health down in between all the casting she did that pretty much made it impossible to approach her without getting one-shotted.

Now on to GBL Lab, oh GOD I hate that place so much. There's just something about Hydracle that makes him really stupid to fight. I burn potions because I get hit once from it's ninja tentacle rape and the others hit as well, which quickly adds up. It doesn't help either that I'm in heavy armor and with no avatars to boost movement speed. Hydracle is actually harder for me than Isadora. That's right, I said it. I can solo Isadora on Masters without dying, and not even coming close to the pot consumption I used for Hydracle just to stay alive from it's rooftop tentacles. Even more annoying is how much of its time is spent as a tiny octopus. Makes me go "AUUUGH!" when it's hitbox and speed makes it really annoying to land a clear hit. I needed to buy a token each run, and I'm not looking forward to killing it 4 more times for the fucking quest.

Be warned, you are going to have MP issues since summons require a lot of MP per cast. I recommend getting as many MP regeneration items as you can. With that said, Summoners are one of the best characters for soloing in the game, plus they rarely get hit.

So far, with only having the level 5 summoner skill, I'm already having MP issues. >.>

What other skills are suggested? Right now I only have the first summoning skill, and the 2 level 1 starting skills at level 6....

That depends on what type of Summoner you want to be: Contract (specializing in Hired Summons), Spirit, or hybrid (getting both hired and spirit summons). Hybrid Summoners are currently the most popular since they yield the most DPS. Here is my hybrid Summoner build you can use for reference.

You can watch short videos of each summon here.

I assume I click on All to show all skills that you get, and I would assume that these are in no particular order, correct?

You get skills at different levels, so just get them as you progress. The only skill that can wait is Lasher, you really only need it as a prerequisite for the level 45 summon.

Alright, thanks.
-Goes to get Florae Circle-

From whom do I get Florae Circle?
Sharan, the mage trainer. Does anyone know what material or use item has a smiley face on it? I need it for the mage gumball contest.

Thank you~
I feel like such a noob. D=
Hopefully, as time passes, I'll be able to learn more.

There's too many quests! And the whole "OH YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 10 QUESTS AT ONCE!" thing is a pain in the butt.
I know, they need to spread the quests out more evenly. Later levels you ACTUALLY NEED TO GRIND! D=

Right now it seems like I'm just doing the same few dungeons over and over again because the quests keep calling for things from every dungeon. D=

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, I'm TofuYoshi.
What the hell you guys! Why didn't anyone tell me DFO finally updated? Dang, I haven't been on in so long. And I was just playing some MS in my downtime. Crap!

I gotta jump on this. lol at only going to 50, though. Taking it nice and easy, Nexon.

WOW what a load of f'aggotry. Frickin' retarded. That whore Samm Jang. I HATE Fighter enemies. Why are they always so broken? I burned tons of pots, my last Token and she STILL defeated me. She goes into frickin' perma-Super Armor mode at like 6 HP bars left. I couldn't do ANYTHING to her after that. I was lucky to get her down to 5 bars left. I could no longer air juggle her or fang stun her. So unfair.

BS.

The Catacombs = best dungeon in DFO so far. Awesome. Fun, nice size, lots of neat mini-bosses and a cool stationary boss. The best part, though, is the music. Dark chanting and screaming! Great vibes in that place. Love it.
