A decent Basil thread: What crazy things did you think when you were a child?

I remember that when I was a little kid I used to believe I had a super power to shoot water whenever I was int he shower. The water running over my body and was "shot" from my fingers if I held them right.

I also remember believing that a girl died close to my house and haunted that "mountain."

I remember thinkking my older siblings were soooo old, and mature. (they were like age 15+)

I used to believe I could invent a new math just cause I said it worked. I would say that a new operation was something like 7 "w/e I called it" 2 = 72. I never figured out a use for it.

I used to believe that underneath my stairs there was a portal to another dimension, but I was always too scared to check.

I use to think all languages were based on the same words. Alphabets and pronunciation were the only difference. Think cryptology.

When I was..what 3 years old? I'd always heard about white and black people etc. Then, I didn't understand nor know what race was, or the actual 'colors' of white/black people.. I had my colors down though! So I always expected to see a white(literally white) and a literally black person.
That is all.

I used to really think that ghost are raping you when you get a chill down your spine, because that's what my mother always used to tell me.

I used to think that our torso is separated into 2 halves; one part holding liquids and the other holding food.

I used to think that I was actually tricking my parents when I pretended to fall asleep and then turned on the TV the minute they leave my room.

I used to think that anal sex would lead to a pregnancy in which the baby comes out from the back rather than the front. When I said that out loud my mother had a huge laughing fit. My father commented "that's how you were born" to tease me.

I remember an extreme case of deja vu. It was the night before my birthday, and the dream I had was of what was to happen the day of my birthday. So the next day, the day of my birthday, everything played out the way I remembered it in my dream. At the time, I thought that I wasnt the age I actually was, and that I was really 1 year older.

I can't recall anything before I was...5 or 6? I don't know why...I might remember minor details of some minor events. Maybe I just didn't have a sense of time/age.

I used to think MapleStory was fun.

my brother had a very round chin. It looked like he had a little ball in his mouth. I demanded that he let me see this ball, but he's a baby so he doesn't know what i'm talking about. Apparently I was frequently founding sticking my hands in his mouth in search of the legendary "Chinball".

I remember I used to think, that wishing upon the first star worked >_<, as well as thinking that one of my cousins came from hell...

When I was younger and playing the first couple of Pokemon games, I used to think that Pokemon couldn't evolve in a battle with the other trainers, and they could only evolve while battling wild pokemon, so that the other trainers wouldn't get jealous.

I used to think:

-I could shoot a Kamehameha if I tried hard enough (srsbsns)
-My hair could turn blonde if I got pissed-off enough (srsbsns again)
-I could break a wooden board with just one hard punch (I was actually right about this, had karate classes, and split the board in half, straight line)
-Life was easy
-Girls gained bigger breasts by touching themselves in inappropriate areas (no one has proven me right or wrong, but I'm still leaning on what I previously thought when I was 11)
-Masturbation leads to having a bigger plantain, but apparently, when I searched Google, I was above average anyways, so does not matter! (for asians, luls)
-Ghosts were real . .
-I'd be a real genius at Math when I grew up, I was wrong.

I remember dreaming I got a 70 on a project as a kid, and I did the next morning ;-;. Happened a good amount of times in my life too.

I also to be really paranoid, fearing people could see or hear my thoughts and I definitely felt really frightened when I felt as if someone was laughing at me or gossiping about me as I was coincidentally nearby.

Now, here's more funny ones:
-I used to think that pregnancy occured randomly after two people married.
-I used to be afraid that something unknown: monsters, ghosts, and other paranormal stuff; might get to me in my sleep. It's an honestly frightening thought: what if something just came out of nowhere while I was asleep? I used to fall asleep under the covers to apparently "hide".
-You know how Sonic the Hedgehog runs in the 3D games? Hands back, body kinda leaning forward, etc. I thought that was how to properly run, and people used to give me weird looks for that.
-This was maybe when I was 3-6: I used to think that to get my plantain size back to normal from an erection, I had to repeatedly push the area until it got back to normal. People would think I had to pee badly when I did that.
-I thought for part of doing the sign of the cross, I had to touch my crotch.
-I thought Legend of Zelda had a continous storyline between all of the games; and didn't want to touch Ocarina of Time ever until I beat the original LoZ games.
