Berzerk Wrote:As much as we'd like to believe it, I don't think we will. I believe we'll get some minor updates (Monster book, More Area bosses, Possibly Magatia) in Sept/Oct. Then in Nov we'll get Krakia, then maybe something regarding Versalmas for Christmas. It's been a year since we've received information about Krakia, and they should have developed something by now. Versal we never received much information on, and they might want to spend ample time developing it, if they're not already working on projects.I think I speak for alot of people when I say that Id rather have a brand new class than a bunch of nub maps for Lvl 30~70 people.....

You realize that new level 30-70 maps would help you when training up your Pirate?
2008-08-13, 01:50 AM
It's very possible when Pirates are released, they give all new characters created after that date 2x exp for a while, specifically aimed at Pirates.

I never said I didn't want Pirates. Believe me, I want them more than anything but I just don't see us getting them anytime soon. Also, no one knows the level Range for Krakia or Versal. They could have areas within them level 120+. You never know.

I started my pre pirate before the ariant patch and still it hasn't come out.
I hope GMS gets Pirates before MSEA tho...

I would have to say no. Since we're getting a patch tomorrow, it's pretty much out of the question, especially since we never get that kinda stuff before other servers like jms, cms, etc.

Well I figure that we will not get pirates for a while either, I mean I really want pirates too, but lets face it, we can't get pirates until they release the scrolls first. I mean, I'm pretty sure that nexon has the idea that they will release the scrolls ahead of time t bring down inflation... or so I've heard anyways. I figure first we'll get the scrolls, then about a patch or two later we will actally get pirate class. If we get the scrolls released this patch then we can start to celebrate, if not then just keep waiting for other patches I guess. Thats just my theory.

EndlessAxis Wrote:they won't tespia pirates FOR SURE they wanna make it a suprise to all..only un important things will get tespia'd ...well..thats what I think atleast What reason would they have to not hold a Tespia session for Pirates? The purpose of Tespia is to observe for glitches in the content, and naturally that would be a good idea to test something like Pirates that way when they're implemented into the actual server, there's no problems that need to be sorted out. And something as major as Pirates would most likely get an announcement stating its an upcoming release in the near future, similar to how they did with 4th Job. And the reason they are unwilling to use a Tespia session for Masteria content is stated later in my post in response to a second quote. Russt Wrote:It won't be a surprise, other versions have it. CWK isn't Tespia'd because we're the first version to get it. Well, actually, that isn't necessarily the reason. Some other versions had a test server session prior to the release of an 'exclusive content'; for example Japan tested Kaede Castle a short time before the released it to the public client, and I believe they did the same for the Shaolin Temple area for China. What NXProse directly had to say about why there wasn't gonna be was "Nope, you're all going to experience the update at one time". You can infer that Prose was implying that he wants people to feel more of a suprise at its release instead of us having some knowledge about the area before its release by having the select amount of people finding out beforehand the actual release. In other words, Nexon wants to keep the veil of mystery over Crimsonwood Keep so we don't exactly know what to anticipate.
2008-08-13, 06:04 AM
True.
I meant to say they wouldn't be able to do the same thing for Pirates if they wanted to, since other versions have it.

Hazzy Wrote:It's kind of annoying how they get almost everything first. ._."A few months" after we got NLC, we got the Haunted House... with a boss. The only potential argument available would be that it required paying money to access at first, but even so, that cost was almost nothing... I think the cheapest option to enter was about 1 dollar in value. I think a better example would be the 4th job and Leafre situation. They got Leafre, we got crap. They got 4th job, we got crap. Then a few months later, we got all of it at once. Takebacker Wrote:Don't forget they still have to patch in the boss for CWK. Whatever the "challenge for high levels are", probably a boss. What else would it be? >_>They could easily pair a small expansion of Crimsonwood Keep with other things, like Pirates OR Magatia OR Krakia. Especially if the Keep expansion is just the release of a boss, like when Krexel came out in MSEA. That said, if Pirates are coming "soon" it will be mid September to coincide with Talk like a Pirate Day. If not then, it'll be December or January. If not then, then Summer of '09. ps blind people: tespia is NOT USED TO TEST CONTENT. It is used for PUBLIC RELATIONS. ANY BUGS THAT ARE DISCOVERED ARE NOT FIXED BY NEXON WHEN THE CONTENT GOES LIVE IN THE OFFICIAL SERVER. The only way they would is if it's something TOTALLY game destroying. Anything they want to release to the official client without "testing" they can, AND IN DOING SO, IT WOULD NOT BE ANY DIFFERENT THAN IF IT HAD A 2 WEEK "TESTING PERIOD". |
