It's not Ecko. Ecko doesn't tend to get involved in other servers. Last I checked anyways. 2 years ago, he threatened to hack a lot of people I knew. He has also held altar on various occasions, MCPV (when it was huge..) couldn't get in. Ecko just annoys his own server on purpose and piss others off, really. I doubt he cares about other servers. Secondly, you can't judge how a person type over the internet or MMO, I can type like other people too, and you might say "He types like 'x' person here". No.

Are you by chance submitting your tickets to the "feedback" section? Because feedback tickets are closed instantly so that you can open another ticket if you need to.

Well, a few days ago he was on Bera, but that could have just been because whoever the hell he felt like messing with just happened to have a high leveled character in other servers.

Very true. It's just the "g@ngsta hacka" image fits with Ecko, as well as the "VengOwns" thing both add up to make me point to Ecko. If it was just one or the other I wouldn't think much about it.

The ones that got hacked, I'm sorry to say but there's a very good chance you're not getting compensated and you're screwed. The most Nexon can do now is save the accounts that haven't been hacked into yet. The only thing I can think of is resetting all the pw's on all accounts and having all members get a new password. Or better yet, have those passwords show up as "expired" and forcing the user to change their PW's. Maybe a better option is having an "event", offering the player to change their password for X mount of MP, and it would be optional only. I'm not sure if it will help much but I think everyone needs to do this and forums only reaches a small percentage of the active members on Maple Story. This would lock all inactive accounts till the owner or person with birthdate and other necesarry information changes the password themselves, not giving hackers access inside.

So rumoredly this is either Vent or Ecko? Only one of which has given valid (people, including myself, tested the IDs and Passes through the site) proof that they are in some way responsible for this. Speculation is fine, but let's not be so hasty to pointing the blame at someone else with no real evidence to support your claim.

It's not unheard of for people to pose as someone who is a well known icon for the "mischievous act" they're commiting. The idea is to distill fear into people's minds and cause wide spread panic. Look how many here paniced at the mere utterance of his name and the possibility he is behind it.

See, I get what you're saying here, and not to defend Ecko. Everybody in OUR server knows about him since forever. But my point is that it's way too early to point fingers. I doubt a single person is behind all of this, even if he planned out all of this. He also attacks only 'defensively', so if you provoke him, yes, he will try. I've personally chatted with him on multiple occasions, and he left me alone.

He and I used to be in the same Zak squad, back when he played Sadlstic. He was quiet and you'd never guess somebody like that could hack so many people without any remorse.

Going with their so called reasoning, it's a communal punishment. "1 Player messes up, you all run laps." It's retarded, and a shitty excuse to justify their actions, at best.

I understand that you're upset but we're examining all possibilities of what is going on. Yes, there is no official notice on this situation but before we step out and address anything, we have all the information.

We're not denying anything or being ignorant to the possibilities but keep in mind, possibilities are endless and the best (or the easiest) answer isn't always what is true. Believe me, we're as worried as you are and we want to get to the bottom of this.

Things do take a bit of time to fixing and that is because they really do take time. The iTCG card code issue lasted 8+ months. But the whole time we were investigating it and not out right ignoring it. I know we didn't say anything about it and we were at fault for that.

Again, we're not blaming our players. Let's examine all possibilities before jumping to a conclusions.

Hime, Please consider proposing that the 7 day item locks avalible in the cash shop for 2700nx be free until the investigation is complete. Not only does this help to minimize the continuing losses, it also shows that nexon is not interested in profiting from the sale of these locks that so many of us have bought in high quanity to protect our assets. Perhaps even refund those of us who have already made purchases of locks after v.80
