Hi guys, name's Corazon. I'm new to these forums, but not to Maple in general. I've been playing on and off for a good while, but could never make a serious commitment, due to OCD issues, and a big case of "Not-finishing-what-I-start" syndrome.
My first experience with Maple was back in... I don't have a good memory of it, but I believe it was around 2007, which would've been right before Papulatus was released. I had some big disconnection problems, so I often would get kicked off of Maple Island. Add to that that I didn't even know Maple fansites existed, and you have a recipe for a big headache.
I also used to be a big liar and troll in the early days. This was before I had settled my immaturity and psychological issues. As such, I would constantly make new accounts and lie about my identity and experience. I guess it was due to the fact that I had a lack of willpower to do things myself (or in some cases, I would get people to do things for me, and then when everything was said and done, I'd ditch and take the credit all for myself). As such, I held a very nasty reputation on Sleepywood.net, Hidden-Street, and such.
But I told myself when I joined Southperry tonight, that such foolishness would cease, and I would be honest with myself and others, so as not to gain the reputation of a scammer/liar/n00b.
I figure that if 2009 was a really bad year, I'd make up for everything with 2010. I know I have a lot of work to do in rebuilding my reputation and self-image, but I'm confident that I can do it.
If you guys want to flame me, send hate-mail, or any other nasty things, let loose. I probably deserve it.
But I'm dedicating to repairing my past mistakes, so I'll do what I can to show I can do things myself.
Thanks for the warning, Rick. I'll be sure to be on my best behavior while I'm here.
I deleted all of my other characters, so I'm starting fresh. I'm thinking about joining either Windia or Khaini, so I can have a fresh new start.
I'm going to try my hardest to keep playing one character, and not suddenly delete it if I find leveling boring.
But I am wondering... Cygnus, Explorer, or Aran? Each has their merits.
Of the Explorers, I've played both Thief paths (Sin and Bandit), all of the Warrior paths (Fighter, Page, and Spearman), and an Ice/Lightning Mage. To be honest, though, I never make it past 2nd job. The highest I've ever gotten was 44, and that was on my Spearman (don't recall the name, it's been a good while since I played him).
As for the other two class families, I've only recently found out about Aran. I was around when Cygnus Knights debuted, and my first Cygnus was a Dawn Warrior.
I think I'll make an Aran, just to try it out and see if I like it.
seriously, stick with one class. i didnt for a while just like you, never made it past 40, once i decided to stick with one class, i was so much happier.
Why, hello there! Nothing like a new start to try things again eh?

Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy your stay here, as long as your new and, hopefully, right identity.
Oh and, don't forget the s.
EDIT: ROFLCOPTER
I am cyberbot reporting from the distant year of 2115. I frankly don't care too much if people fake their info as long as they're mature, they make it clear why they do it, and they don't go around changing it too much.

If this is about you asking other people questions like "what's that in your sig" in your own threads clearly meant for something else, I suggest you try using stuff like "visitor messages" and "private messages" for once. If the person doesn't want to answer, don't force the question on them, you'll only make it worse for yourself.

Hi there. My name's Greg, and I'm hyperhopper's father. If he ever gets on your nerves or sends you awkward PMs or anything similar, just throw me a visitor message and I'll set him straight for you.
