I know there's a lot of people who read manga/watch anime, so I'm asking you guys to help me out.
I'm just looking for something I haven't read/seen before. I'm pretty much open to anything, as long as it's not yaoi. My friend showed me one before. That image of penis in butt scars me to this day T_T Shonen ai I'm iffy with, I did like Gravitation, but only cause Maki Murakami is funny as hell.
Anyway since I read almost anything, I'm mainly looking for finished series.
HOWEVER, if it's REALLY good but ongoing, feel free to list it.
Please don't list the following:
Naruto
Bleach
One Piece
As much as I like those, I'd rather not read through 200+ chapters non stop, because they're pretty addicting. Not really looking for 300+ on going things I haven't seen, but I will take them into consideration.
Here's a sample of what I'm currently working on/finished since a whole list would be too much to go through. I'll update this post with what people suggest if I've gone through it before.
Currently Reading:
Gintama (I know I said finished, but this is really good)
Fairy Tail
Mirai Nekki (Future Diary)
Land of the Blindfolded (cute series I found awhile ago)
Suzuka (just finished this one. Loved it)
Gantz (might pick this up when it ACTUALLY finishes. Read up to
Immortal Rain (volumes won't come out)
YuYu Hakusho (just finished)
Random Favorites has now turned into things I've read/reading (will add to as people mention stuff):
I can't remember all of the ones I've read, my list is somewhere, but it's outdated now lol. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I actually watched Midori no Hibi before reading it. Definitely a great read. I've forgotten about Videogirl Ai and I''s. Those 2 were really good. How could I forget Blood+ and Monster, I own the first volume of Blood+!!! *slaps self*
Anyway here's the stuff I don't know/haven't read. I'll go see what they're about.
Watashi ni xx Shinasai! - KHOI THIS ISN'T FINISHED D:< Sounds really good though.
Hatsukoi Limited - author of Ichigo 100%, I'll check this out after Ichigo
Bitter Virgin - read first couple pages, looks nice
High School of the Dead - on hiatus...
AiKora!- HAHAHAHA the description itself was funny. Also by creator of Midori Days. Seems it's almost completely scanned.
Tachibana - can't find any info on this one. Can you elaborate?
Daydream - er...is this what you meant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_Talker%27s_Daydream
Yakitate! Ja-Pan - seen this one around before. 26 volumes...I'll take a look at it.
Ichigo 100% - friend suggested this. 16x chapters, but seems interesting lol
DNA2 - short and seems interesting.
Keep em coming guys.
I'll update first post.

Franken Fran is excellent stuff, except it's a pity the translators (SnoopyCool) only did 23 chapters and left it on a major hiatus and will snap at anyone else who tries to pick up this series to translate.
Also, Onani Master Kurosawa [Fap Master Kurosawa] is excellent stuff. It's very short at a mere 30 or so chapters, and a bonus chapter.
You seemed to like Love Hina. Try Akamatsu's ongoing series, Mahou Sensei Negima. It starts as the love child of Harry Potter and Love Hina, but it turns into an action shonen later on and keeps some of the ecchi elements.

I agree with DNA2. It's a great manga, contrary to its completely piece of pomegranate anime adaptation. Just play one episode with the English voice actors, and you will understand why they should have kept it as a manga.
Also, try Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, if you're into that sort of mindscrewy type of manga.

Watashi ni xx Shinasai! isn't a finished series, it's fairly new, but it's great. Give it a try, bro.

I also want to mention Half & Half. It is only a one-shot but is was a really enjoyable read. In fact, I think Joe was the one who recommended it to me.

This. Read Half & Half. If you don't mind on-going series, Kimi no Iru Machi by the same mangaka, Seo Kouji (Suzuka), is pretty good, and just got to a very dramatic cliffhanger on its last chapter (70something).
Fap Master Kurosawa is one of my all time favourites. Re-read it two days ago actually. Shi't was to cash.
Mahou Sensei Negima is a must for Akamatsu fans.
Kano Yasuhiro (Pretty Face) does some great work. Mx0 is a pretty fun ride while it lasted (~100 chapters). Wish it didn't get cancelled. Snow in the Dark is a great read, give that a try.
Re-Take Obligatory Re-Take recommendation, especially if you're an NGE fan. (Unless you're opposed to sex, though there is an All-Ages version, which I don't believe has been scanlated though <_<)

Franken Fran - Read the first chapter, looks good, and it's pretty funny too. Ongoing + haitus though
I don't know how to do a strikethrough of what I wrote. I'm probably going to end up reading this one. Thanks.
Onani Master Kurosawa - I think I accidentally came across this one before, but it seemed sort of weird so I never read it. I'll give it a go.
Mahou Sensei Negima - I don't remember where I am, but it was definitely past volume 15 or so.

Cat Street - seems interesting.
The Deep Love series, starting with Ayu no Monogatari - I can do sad. How long is the series?
Wolf Guy - I'm not sure if this one's done or not. It's 2 volumes right? Certain sites have it at 4 and ongoing.
Vinland Saga - Took a look at the first chapter. Strangely reminded me of Berserk. It was really good though. But it's ongoing

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - I remember reading this from Newtype a long time back. It's almost done scanlating, so yeah.

Not to say it's not, but I hate waiting. If I get into a really good series, I'll be disappointed if I'm only able to read 1 chapter at a time every couple weeks.

Half & Half - just read it this morning. I gotta admit I really liked it. It was sorta sad and happy at the same time lol. But yeah, thanks.
Mx0 - I've read this one before. I agree, it was really good, shame he had to end it so quickly though.
Kimi no Iru Machi- I actually looked into this right after finishing Suzuka. I sort of want to read it after reading ch1, but I would hate to read it 1 chapter at a time. Well it sort of worked in Suzuka, like how each chapter was began and ended within itself( most of the time). If it's like that, I wouldn't mind keeping up with it.
Snow in the Dark - same author as Pretty Face, and a 1 shot too. I'll read it.
Re-Take - people have said it's like the sequel to NGE. I thought NGE wasn't finished yet? I've read up to either volume 9 or 10, I forgot. As for the sex thing, I'd rather read the original than all ages version.

Air Gear. Don't know if it's finished, how long it is or whatnot, but I'd say it's worth the read.

I read Ane Doki last night. Man, that was terrible. Kawapomegranatea Mizuki should be ashamed of herself. I wouldn't recommend it, though it is a short 26 chapters.
Air Gear - Oh! Great can't write himself out of a wet paper bag, but he sure can draw. If you're into just art, and never ending shounen (which you did say you didn't want). Story is unrecognizable from any distance, and the artwork, while it may be impressively detailed, eventually gets to the point where you're asking yourself what the pineapple you're looking at anymore. I doubt it's ending within the year. It sure feels like it's close to the ending, but I felt the same way when they started the Gram Scale Tournament so...

Yes that's the Daydream I was talking about. Excellent read.
Also about Tachibana, is single tankoubon. From Yuji Shiozaki, the same author of Ikkitousen and Battle Club (which are good reads too). http://raw-manga.aceboard.fr/289134-9595...t-2008.htm

Mysterious Girlfriend X - ongoing...but story seems pretty interesting.
Mahou Sensei Negima- already reading and commented on this one.
Ane Doki- by the creator of Ichigo 100%. I'll read those after Ichigo.
A town where I live - isn't that the same as Kimi no Iru Machi?
AIKI- ongoing...
Sora no Otoshimono - ongoing...but art is nice.
Dance in the Vampire Bund - ongoing...looks good though
Future Diary - already reading.
Air Gear - The name Oh! Great seems familiar to me. I can't place it though. I've had Air Gear mentioned to me before, but the fact it's neverending is the one reason I've been putting it off. If it's THAT great, I'll give it a go.
Btw, finished Fap Master Kurosawa. Very greatful to you guys for making me go back to take another look at it. I HAVE read a little before, and it was sort of weird, so I didn't finish it, but went back and read the whole thing. Enjoyed it very, very much. Thank you guys
EDIT: Kurosawa reminded me of Death Note wayyyyy too much in the beginning lol

There are:
Beelzebub (It's about a naked baby demon king attached to this guy, the humor is acceptable and not over the top silly)
Change123 (Nice little martial art nonsense)
Cross Epoch (One Piece meets Dragon Ball Z)
Hiatus X Hiatus (Hunter X Hunter)
Kingdom Hearts Series (If you're into that and not wanting to play through the games for the story)
Tenjou Tenge (I don't recall if this was just an anime but I'm pretty sure it's a manga too, Martial Arts)
Wanted! (Oda's oneshot mangas before One Piece was into fruition)
I can mention Bleach because you can read the first chapter, skip over to chapter 100, then skip to chapter 200, and then skip to 300, and finally to the current 388 and it still makes sense. Seriously Kubo sucks at pacing and story-telling. I don't understand how people are drawn into his style.

Beelzebub - looks pretty funny, but ongoing...I'll get into this at a later date since only 3 volumes are out.
Change123 - might be interesting, but ongoing...If this ends pretty soon I might start it, but I'll wait a little bit.
Cross Epoch - lol. That was weird.
Hunter X Hunter - oh god...where do I begin lol. I would LOVE to pick up where I left off, but so manying pineappleing hiatuses.
Kingdom Hearts Series - I read some of it, wasn't that appealing to me. It's aimed at a much younger audience.
Tenjou Tenge - Read this until I learned American version censored almost everything. It's ongoing as well ;_;
Wanted! - oh nice, I'll take a look at this one.
I'm keeping up with Bleach as English volumes are released. Same with Naruto and One Piece since they're all so long/non ending.
I got a 3 /4 hour bus ride coming up. Keep em coming guys.
