I dont have any access to NX, so that is out of the question. the only assets i have are 8 maple cannon shooters, 4 maple soul stinglers, and a top str 30. im in windia btw.
First, develop a base of meso needed to buy some cheap items. For example, 30mil would do nicely. Then, you could start with scrolls. Look around your Free Market, and record the prices of scrolls and if you see any scrolls in the future that are lower than the average price then buy low and sell high. Once you have a lot of meso, you can try scrolling. High risk/high price, high reward though
Like I said in your other thread, leveling up will help you out. Higher level gives you an access to Zakum and Horntail which offer tremendous splits which can be easier than merchanting. For example, from my Horntail yesterday, I am expecting to get around 200mil in splits. Not bad for 2 hours of work.

Well, the way a beginner makes money is to be careful about spending and always looting. Also, as monster levels increase, the better the item that will drop. Perhaps try bosses like Mushmom, which can drop good scrolls. A 60% Claw Att scroll is about 8mil in Scania.
If you can't get NX, only way is MTS or buying from other players. No way around that.
KoC fail, don't make one. An adventurer at level 140 should be fine for Zakum. You will no longer have a damage reduction nor an increased need for accuracy at that level.
Kevo says they fail because he levels too fast. If you're an extremely slow/slow leveler like me (like if you think you'll probably never reach 4th job) Cygnus is probably the best.
One of the hottest selling items (and easiest way to convert Meso to NX) are Work Gloves scrolled for Attack, and Scrolls for Gloves for Attack. Unfortunately, I can not give you any advices on NX to Meso conversion in Windia.

c) No longer needed for Blessing of the Fairy.
d) Level cap at 120. Can't fight any worthwhile bosses. Highest level boss is most likely Papu, but you get damage reduction until you reach your maximum level.
e) Certain areas are restricted. For example, can not enter CWK PQ.

For the conversion, just search up the items in MTS and see their prices there then go to the FM and look for the same items and see their price. It's that simple.

AP wise, KoC are equivalent to Level 144 no? They have weaker forms of the skills the 4th Jobbers have, which I think it's really ridiculous. KoC is fast and decently strong while Adventures/Aran show more potential in power but take longer to level due to level cap being 200.
Honestly, there's no point in merchanting if you're going to make a KoC or if you don't plan to be at least level 140+ on an Adventurer/Aran.

He could always use the Cygnus as a character to gather funds for an Adventurer main.

Yeah it can. I agree with Kevo on this one, but if you don't already have a side character that supplies Blessing to your main, I don't see how it could hurt to make one.
Over the course of about 3 weeks I made 500m in just mesos from merchanting with about 30-60 minutes of work a day. Here's how I did it.
1st rule is, of course, buy low sell high. I bought ANY hot ticket item that I saw which I though I can make 1 million mesos off or more. I bought things like Gloves for Att, Claw for Att, Shoes for Jump, things like that.
2nd rule, stay away from dark scrolls. The whole time I merchanted I steered right away from these things. Especially 70%'s. I only bought 60% scrolls, and I still made a killing off of what I bought and sold. I thought of it from my perspective, and I wouldn't use a 70% as often as I would a 60%. Some people would take the risk, but I would say that a majority of people would use a 60% over a 70%.
3rd rule, don't get discouraged if you stuff doesn't sell. Quite a few times I would set up a shop overnight, and none of my newly purchased scrolls would be bought. It's okay. Try them again at the price you have them for one more night. You also need to realize, if the price is TOO high, it's not going to get bought. One tactic I would use would be, if I had the money, buy every scroll in that Free Market screen that was under my price of the certain scrolls I had for sale.
Optional: If you don't mind being a douche, and have the cash, go though the entire FM and purhcase the entire stock of a 60% scroll. At first, I would go though and buy EVERY 1hand Sword for Att 60% I could find. When you buy the entire stock, people kind of have to buy from you. There isn't the luxury of choice. If they want it, they need to go by your price. I wouldn't overprice the scroll though, even though I had every one in the FM. If I bought a majority of them for 4.5m, I sell them at 5.5m - 6m.
That's basically all I did and made a killing in Bellocan.

Heh, your douche tactic reminds me that another aspect of a successful merchanter is being very, very patient. Yes, they mention waiting a few days and such for your stuff to sell, and that more often than not rewards you. It may be necessary to wait for weeks or even months for other possible deals however, given how volatile Nexon is with their updates recently. Take White Scrolls for example. In Khaini, they sell for about 350-400 mil, and you can find at least one every three days or so in FM. That's nice and all that if you have the money. But a sudden event may show up where you find a White Scroll for much cheaper, such as gachapon notices suddenly screaming "THIS GUY GOT A WS FROM GACHAPON!!!" every 5 seconds, or (most likely) someone trying to sell one for absurdly cheap. Case in point, I managed to rip off an alliance member who was desperate for a quick cash infusion and bought his White Scroll for 250 mil. This may seem trivial when you think about long-terms and such, but pinching every penny you have could eventually get you some of the nicest things around.
Personal success story
No I'm not insanely rich. Actually never spend for NX and I never MTS for NX.
For the first 100 levels or so, I just grinded my way up to 4th job and was careful about doing it as to not end up being in debt to other people. It was way harder to do this back then because there weren't so many friggin' quests that gave pots. Along the way, I saved up scrolls and equips and sold them to whoever happened to be buying them.
Then I started bossing a lot. Zruns were the only thing around back then, but the zhelm selling business was my main source of funds.
Then 4th job came out. I started killing a lot more bosses because 4th job is virtually 3x better than 3rd job. Just for comparison, it used to take a full squad of 3rd jobbers around 1.5-3 hours to down Zakum, but nowadays a 6-man 4th jobber Zakum group can down him in under an hour at worst. ANYWAYS, I managed to grab some rare mastery books from bosses such as Pianus and Papulatus, since now I could solo them without taking a huge chunk out of my pocket in doing so.
During this whole time, I've made plenty of friends and got real close with a few. So whenever the opportunity arises, I just ask some of them who I trust to help me sell my junk in their shop. LOOK MA! I'M SELLING STUFF IN FM WITHOUT NEEDING NX!! Okay yeah I'm kinda mooching, but they don't mind and I return the favor in other ways anyways.
Then Time Temple came out. Being the quest wh0re I was, and a LOLPALADIN with BanHammer, I was one of the few classes that got first dibs on Pieces of Time. Those little mtherfkers easily skyrocketed my revenue into the hundreds of millions per week.
