Will Time Pieces recover from the deflation caused by the cheap 2x drop?
#1
Prices here in Bello suck. Went from ~7.5m-8m down to ~6m-6.5m. I'm sure other servers suffered some form of deflation as well. The question is will Time Pieces recover from this, or will it stabilize at the newly dropped price?

Ditto for SE20 and SS20.

No, because the evil Arch Mages are going to swarm to Oblivion 4 to hold all 19 channels 24/7 and KS anyone who even thinks about entering Time Temple. With their severely broken ultimates they are going to wipe them out in the millions and surely the price of pieces of time will drop faster than Greg's pants when Mark comes 'round.

Hah

In Bello, I expect them to stay low for a while, then slowly rise back up to 8mil-ish

This lol. If you think cheap 2x drop deflated them a lot just wait for this.

OT: Trying to predict something like this is like trying to predict the stock market. No one can say with absolute certainty, though talking to the GMS FM gods, the ones responsible for the GFA inflation a while back, may be more conducive towards answering your question than asking all of us.

they're still 8-9m in scania so the cheap 2x drop isn't helping here at all. Tongue

Complaining about deflation? Am I missing something...?

Even if this is sarcastic, he has a good point. Evil I/L mages are going to swarm O4 and 5(?), hold every channel in ever server indefinitely, and the prices will drop like rocks. Depending on what this new 4th job area NexonKO was talking about, they might just skip over to that.

PoTs are a great income since it ties in great exp and money.

If any significant amount of people use them as a source of income, we'll see similar deflation to popular scrolls and items accompany PoT deflation. Unless you never carry any money, and keep 99% of your wealth in items, you wouldn't lose out on anything....

It's even worse on Bera... general inflation + PoT deflation = huge value drop in PoTs.

While PoT went from about 10mil to 7mil, GFA (good standard to measure general meso value, haven't changed value much recently) went from 6mil to 9mil. Most other scrolls saw similar inflation, with Polearms obviously being the exception, since they're about 6-10 times as expensive.

If I'm calculating correctly, that means PoTs are worth a little less than half what they used to be.

It wouldn't be so bad if I could hunt the items I do need, but I can't. I hunt PoTs, sell them, buy the scrolls/equips I need that are Gacha-only. The less PoTs are worth the longer it takes me to buy anything.

The constant demand lowers and lowers, so it will most likely drop or stay still, unless the value of mesos lowers significantly.

Haven't seen any price drop in khaini. I've been selling my PoTs for 7m over the last week, and they've been worth 8m for months. I sell them for 7m so they sell fast, and they do.

already inflated back from 7.5ish to 8.5. i see dozens sold for 8.5 mil right now and still going in scania.

A few minutes ago I saw some sold for 10m in Bera's FM, seen them sell for between 7-10m.

I'm more concerned that Shifter 20 and SE 20 went from 50-70m to like, 30m each. We BARELY managed to sell our SE for 30m, and the Shifter hasn't even sold.

Lol @ upset over deflating prices on random things.

As Kurt Vonnegut said in Slaughterhouse Five, "So it goes."

Everything deflates/inflates from time to time. Yeah, it sucks, but putting your eggs in one basket, like relying on PoTs to cover all of your expenses, or waiting for two random skillbooks to sell for splits, is not smart. Find other things you can do to make money and jump on them. For example, Onyx Apples have recently inflated in Khaini from 4m to 5.5-6m. I don't know about other servers, but if you're seeing inflation there, now's the time to start APQing again.
