Just redid mine after doing wallpaper crawling on the web last night + cleaning up my disk as well as my desktop a bit:

The image is kinda large, so those that don't want to expand the spoiler and distort the page on their screen, can click here to view the image by itself in a new window. FYI: CPU usage is only that high because of VirtualDub working in the background encoding a video file.

You watch Kanon? Or did you just stick a random anime wall on there..? Regardless, nice desktop.

I've got so much crap on these disks of mine (networked disks as well), I'm at no loss for series to watch, I could easily keep myself occupied for several months with my collection.

Awesome, then I'm assuming you have or haven't seen Clannad or AIR. Kanon was really decent compared to the other two, in my personal opinion. Glad to know you're interested in anime!

Glad to know you're interested in anime! Haven't yet. It's on one of the networked disks. I've got extremely powerful internet around here so I can usually acquire a "new" series (that is, one I've yet to watch) within 45 min-1.5 hrs.

What's the type of internet that you have, as well as the speed? I'm rather curious. I'm assuming you're in university, right?

Residential. ![]() More specifically, Verizon FiOS fiber-to-the-home internet currently rated at 15 Mbps downstream. The times I gave are based on the usual torrent sizes I download from, which usually runs between 5 to 8 GB depending on format (whether it's h264 or just something like XVid/avi) and number of eps in the series. I also grab stuff of distribution bots located on various IRC networks, and I can usually pull full downstream with those. Also keep in mind that I don't ALWAYS get full downstream on every torrent I download - that highly depends on the capability of the swarm. But at the very least I'm in full control of my service. I can port-forward as necessary.
