Balancing is over
#1
Ok the balancing patch got to KMS, so I don't think there will be more changes for adventurers on KMST.
So what do you think about the changes they did?

Talking about my class, I think we still need the passive critical, adding stun to energy blast isn't enough....

I Think balancing isn't over yet.

They just released another rebalance patch in KMST, AFTER the KMS patch.

What makes you honestly think they're done. It even says it in the patch poster Rolleyes. Check more into it before even coming to conclusions like this.

EDIT: PS, backets now in the urls sucks.

^ No they didn't, the poster said the skill balancing was going live in KMS today, the 7th of Jan. There hasn't been any patches since today Rolleyes

It doesn't make sense though why they would stop at this. Adventurers still need improvement. Eh, maybe we'll see later.

On the category of archers, I was wondering if they were gonna make Phoenix actually burn monsters like Inferno.

I also wonder if Inferno burns bosses.

The higher level content that is planned may have a significant effect on how this will all play out. Some of these small changes may end up having a big effect. The Adventurer rings by themselves favor jobs that can naturally crit without them.

From Spadow's blog:

Patch date confirmed! The balance patch release date is set for 7th January 2010. Experience a stronger Adventurer!
This is fast! A preview was put on the website of MapleStory.

I looked at the preview and I noticed that not all the skills were there…
So I read what it says in the image above:

”PS: Don’t be disappointed if you don’t see a change of your job. The transformation of the Adventurer continues!”

I’m guessing this is just preview #1.

No, this is just part ONE of the balancing. There should be more to come rather soon.

And seriously LozMaster. It hasn't even been a week since the last balance patch and you're declaring they're done? Jeebus christ, it's only been 2 days since the last balance patch, and the average time it seems to take for them to release a balance patch is about 7-8 days.

It's done for now maybe, but not completely done. We still have the magic damage formula change coming and I think the chances of them just leaving the numbers as they are after something like that is pretty slim. This may just be the end of the first wave, if anything.

Wait what? I never said that, mistaken identity? :f6: I just reiterated what the nexonposter said. That poster also came out, then there were 2 more KMST patches giving changes. Who knows if they're done yet or not

How do you get these rings? Level 30, 50, 70 like the Aran rings?

Supposedly a choice of one for leveling from 1~50 on adventurer, and one of them (I forget which) for leveling any adventurer 30 levels.
And, supposedly

The reason why they brought the changes to KMS already is for proper testing. KMST is great for testing bugs and all, but for testing balancing you need people playing under the real game condition, IE no free leveling from NPC, real rates, proper equips and all.

And they probably had nothing else for this month patch Wink

So for having a level 135 and a level 98 Adventurer on my account I'm pretty much boned for leveling 30 times during whatever 'event period'... why can't they make events that benefit old players as much as new ones :/ I don't particularly want another level 50.

If those rings make it to the actual game, any balancing they will have done will receive a kick in the face.

According to Spadow, the rings did make it into the actual game.

You can only wear one ring, you can't wear it with ririn's ring and the critical effect doesn't stack or something like that.

Also, balancing isn't done.

Okay, with just the one ring, NLs get a 21% boost and Bowmasters a 30% boost. Everyone else gets 9% or less (with the exception of Rapid Fire). The problem is that neither of these classes need a boost. In fact, they're exactly the classes that don't need a boost. I can't help but bang my head on the table to try to imitate their thought pattern when they came up with this crap.

Spadow's blog mention nothing about crit stacking or not, but the fact about equiping one at a time, and not with Lirin's ring, seems correct
