HackShield Error (0x00000108)
#1
I keep getting this error when I try running JapanMS on my other computer. I can't, for the life of me, figure out what's wrong or how to fix this error. I've tried disabling my anti-virus, I've tried disabling my firewall, I've tried reinstalling, I've tried deleting my HackShield folder and redownloading it through Maple, and I've tried just about everything else possible...

I don't have ANYTHING running except for my system required programs and Maple. There's nothing that could show up as a hacking tool or anything that would block HackShield from loading.

The weird thing is that about three or four days ago, it was running PERFECTLY FINE. I was able to run it multiple times without fail. Then the next day, POOF! It completely stopped working. I'm the only one that ever uses this computer and I do nothing with this computer except for Maple. There's no reason for it to have done this. Does anyone happen to know how to fix this problem or know what is causing this?

Symantec Endpoint Protection

The anti-virus CAN'T be the problem, since it's the same exact Anti-Virus version and everything on my laptop.

I've tried uninstalling EVERYTHING except Maple, I've tried reinstalling Maple, I've tried copying the folder from my laptop to my other computer... No avail. I can't seem to get past this problem AT ALL.

From the results I came up with Google, the reason for that error is in-fact, due to the Symantec Endpoint Protection. >_>

One of the MSEA forum admins suggested installing the newest version of it. If that doesn't work, get a new anti-virus.

I uninstalled SEP and now it works wonderfully. I wonder why my SEP stopped working randomly like that... It was working FINE one day and then the next, it just borked. Oh well, I'll get a new Anti-Virus now. Maybe Microsoft Security Essentials.
