When you're joking with a friend at work about how old your dog is, and how you say she's got at least another year left, and she gets put down less than 12 hours later.

Had the dog since I was 3...Somehow I think I'm going to miss something clawing at my door every morning at 5 AM.

Also, denial, I has it.

I feel your pain, I get really scared whenever my dog limps or something, or even when I just think about how old she is.
When we had to put my old dog down, I cried myself to sleep for a long time.

I'm not a dog person but I grew to love my current dog. I'm the only one that takes her for walks, plays with her (Not the only one, but I do the most) and occasionally takes her out to the bathroom when no one bothers too. I had a dream that she passed away and I woke up with tears in my pillow. I love her the most out of any family member in my house, that's for sure. Don't think I could handle her dying right now.

No it was my tears, my eyes were all watery.

sorry to hear that man, my dog passed away on new years eve, and i spent this new years burying him. its really a horrible feeling..
