Dark Stumps

Doing what I hope is the Thief 12 Stat Helm quest, and it just won't stop with Dark Stump drops. I spent an easy 30+ minutes yesterday trying to get 10 wooden boards from them. In that time I also got 4 Flints. Now the stupid quest wants me to get 20 Flints. ._.
Where's the best spawn of Dark Stumps for a lv 21 dit? Every place I can think of either has them as a ridiculous minority (over the wall), or the spawn is REALLY spread out (Forest South of Ellinia(?)).
Or am I better off searching the FM?

Rocky road 2 or 3 I think. Check the bottom, not sure about the top though.

East Rocky Mountain II or III works well, I think. (Can't remember if the maps with the Darks are II and III, or III and IV.)
