Any recent hacked accounts from Southperry users?

Do you think this will get worse once Nexon becomes BlockParty.com and all the "personal" info associated with people will be visible due to the "sociallizing" of Maple?

You can probably log on the Nexon website and view your NX purchase history to find out. As far as I know they keep records for everything.

That worked for a while ...

I got hacked on 12/14 - the nx transaction showed in both the web site, and on my MTS history
THe website entry was complete with 2 transactions 1 for the item 1 for the "fee"


Attempting to trace too far back crashed the web page.


I just want answers and to rebuild in peace.

I dont share, run multiple layers of security - hardware and software based firewalls, none of which reveal anything - not even router logs.

My account was surgically raided - multiple characters and all valuable /tradeable items along with 1 NX purchase for a useless item. That was my glimmer of hope.

@Eos - I have a tremendous amount of respect for some of your work but sorry, I am not just adding to the drama bowl.

And today another guildmate was hacked, yet on an account that was stripped....e-mail info was changed as well. With this being about #9 in about a months time, to some VERY careful people I might add, I'm finding it harder and harder to beleive it's just our fault.

Why don't these people target the extremely-rich? I see people regularly smega-ing their perfect items who seemingly never get hacked at all, yet 5x - 12x people are getting hacked left and right. Those who are level 17x-200 get hacked and deleted, even though there's hardly anything to take from many of them.

Whoever is doing these hackings obviously isn't doing it for the money.

From what I know and read some extremely rich people were hacked...
I think it's Chinese or Brazilian hackers.

What makes you think they aren't. At least one poster in this thread probably falls (fell) into the extremely rich category.
As for others, well you don't hack yourself or your buddies, do you?
And the ones smega-ing thier perfect goods are being foolish. They should keep a low profile.

Whatl we can do is inundate Nexon with 'Hacking crisis' tickets. Maybe, if we are really lucky, one of the ticket monkeys will complain about all the hacking tickets during coffee break within earshot of a programmer. You never know.

I got hacked yesterday. Entered fake info for my account too so I just lost a 99 Priest and a 7x dawn warrior with a couple bill in pomegranate.
pineappleing BS, no keylogger, never entered my info on any phising sites, anything.

It's pretty obvious this pomegranate is a problem on Nexons end, and none of my accounts but that one got stripped so I know for a fact it wasn't a keylogger

30m + ~100m in unsold crap left that luckily I had on mules.

Something odd happened to me as I quit the MS program a few minutes ago. I don't know if it's related, but [censored], I should have taken a screenshot... Ah well, if it happens again, I'm ready.

You know how those ads show up after you quit the game, right? Well, the ads loaded, but this one odd window suddenly popped up saying 'Script Failed to work properly' or something like that, and 'Do you want to keep running the script?' (or something like that, I'm pretty sure those of you who have seen this type of window before know what I'm talking about). Of course, I selected 'No'.

Really strange. I don't think anything's going to happen to me as a result of that (yet) since I don't even know if it's actually related to all of this in the first place, though it's really odd to have something like that suddenly showing up after quitting the game.

Pretty sure that meant the info on the account was already fake, as in not something someone could've social engineered or looked up.

I cant even check on the status of my ticket even if there is any. I'm sure the hacker commented a bunch of rude stuff in there.

I don't understand, how can..a Voice thing you don't even open..keylog? I mean that doesn't sound right to me. I read most of your posts in that thread a few weeks ago, so I'm sorry if you said this but were other accounts hacked? As in other than that ID? I for one don't question your integrity but to me that seems..improbable. Did your scan's detect a keylogger? I'm sure you are aware of this but Dave (mulletpirate) was attacked the same way you were but his pirate was not touched, only is bishop. If it were a keylog type scenario his pirate would be gone. The reason I say this is because it isn't your fault, it seems to be an error on Nexon's part, or MSN for that matter.

Ed, iiwraithnin couldn't explain to me but rather 'speculated' that the voice clip tagged your IP address of where you would have to unplug your computer/monitor. How that works I have no idea nor could he explain. The only feasible outcome of grasping your IP address is possibly finding your location state wise in order to gain access to your MSN account via Help desk/amateur social engineering, or that's the only use I could see of it. Lastly, a keylog could crack your account in a day, I was a victum of it myself. I wasn't keylogged, my ID was known, password was changed as a monthly update. He cracked the following password: Hq66p4t94OR in under 6 hours upon its changing. If it were a keylog my 14x shadower rather than my 12x mule would have been hacked. I didn't lose much, but I certaintly didn't underestimate the power of a hacker.

I'm sorry I can't be more help but that's my current knowledge of the subject, hacking someone for revenge is something expected as a goal, going as far as deleting a 18x account? Outrageous.
