Any recent hacked accounts from Southperry users?

I don't think they are not targeting very well with the new account theft method (w/e it is). I am a large merchant in Bellocan and I have two accounts that probably have over 10 bil of items on each them (at a fast sell price). However the account I lost only had 500m tops (probably only 300m at a fast sell price). So I don't think you were hit because you were a large merchanter, I think it was just unlucky as they might have just as well hit a less valueable account.

Also they left everything that "wasn't worth it." One girl was untouched, all she had was like a pico hammer, clean equips for asthetic value, nx, and a mil of meso. They didn't not even move her to the fm. It was also not malisious, I had maple earings and chairs on every charactor that were untradable, but they were all still there.

I've heard that meso prices from the meso sellers are plumeting in the fm (though I haven't checked myself). I suspect they are behind the reacent account losses.

I have had 3 emails hacked and 2 accounts hacked.

My main account (pretty good loot)...

And my pirate's account (lol) they gained like 3m mesos from that one.

but what if the information on certain accounts were in fact leaked through/by Nexon? And the people who are challenging this "hacker"; Have the thought of only a small hand full of random account information being leaked through/by Nexon ever crossed your minds?

I know most of you trust their security and I do too which is why I won't bother changing my password, but after seeing and hearing all these incidents, you can't conclude that the information leakage on certain accounts were impossible.

its pretty much security programing 101 to store passwords in encrypted form. But on the other hand it could be possible to decrypt it or brute force it really effectively.

I want to see my account get hacked and just the guy trying to find something valuable.

I'm wearing all untradeable agent equips, and I have 1.8m.

I can maybe repot them for a couple days though.

I suppose logging a ticket is unlikely to help, and that you probably already did it anyway, so here's hoping for that.

Would you mind elaborating on your story Chirdaki? Yours seem somewhat different from the others in the sense that your email was compromised and characters were actually deleted. Time of date of the incident, email provider, and other valuable information you deem insightful would be greatly of interest and help. Thanks.

The first time I believe I was caught with a voice clip disguised keylogger that gets around "MSN temporarily stores voice clips on your computer". I have since reformatted my computer.

Detox shows up on page 8 and his posts were deleted for trolling and threatening to rehack me. The thread ends with Detox posting again threatening to delete my character and a day later it actually happened. His last post is mocking me.

My email and MS account was both jacked as of this morning, this time without a logger, assuming backdoor entry like how people who haven't logged in for years getting hacked. It would take years to bruteforce my new passwords, impossible.

I can only guess that I was re-targeted because I was trying to help the community and make nexon aware, the fool hasn't posted on anyone else's hacked threads, I can only assume its cause people are outright quitting like RataRata and boggy.

Thanks Eos The last time I fully got to play my char with equips was on the 13th. I have alot of ingame screenshots but I don't think I will truly recover from this cruel act. I will probably ask Ben to keep me on the top shadower ranks...

I have resorted to staying logged in 24/7 because I don't know whats going on. 170 bishop in my guild got hacked two days ago. Then a 18x bishop in my guild got hacked and had pin changed, and he's a computer programmer who is very careful with his account, unfortunately the email he set up account with is no longer active so the bishop is apparently lost. A friend on my buddy list got hacked last night, lost 4b and said he's quitting. I could name 8 other people without even thinking about it who have been hacked in the last little bit.

Some things i don't understand here. (Sorry for any naive assumptions or questions, don't really know much about this stuff.)

If you were keylogged the first time, why would they have needed to hack into your email? Wouldn't they already have user id, password and pin to just log on to MS? If they lacked the pin, hacking into email would not aid in finding that. (There isn't a retrieve pin function, is there?) The only reason to hack email is if they need the user id and password sent to it. (right?)

And, if they had already gotten into your email the first time, what makes you think the second time was different? They already had your MS user id and email name, can't change those. All they had to do was (re)hack the email, have the new ms password sent to it, and (re)crack the pin. (The email must have been hacked and the pin must have been cracked the second time, since you had gotten rid of the keylogger and changed them.)

Either way, the second hack proves that no keylogger is required, if email is already known.

I had reclaimed my email so if it was the same guy, he would know my email but have to brute force the password, which is possible but not what happened because that would take years, not 1 day. So it seems either the first time was a different person, or there's many ways to crack an account. I have been looking extensively at all the Khani reports since I got taken to find any correlation but there is none. Free email provider or private, wealthy or poor, high or low level there is no relation. Most people report being hacked with no voice clip logger, so i'm not sure if I was part of the "initial" wave or not. Don't think it matters anymore, some guy didn't like I was trying to help the community, apparently there are hackers now with exploits that can target who they wish and crush random peoples dreams.

When I was originally hacked someone used a dc hack to exit me from the game, I stay logged in all day unless there's a patch or sc. I was notoriously known for being afk in NLC on the sign for days, so many convos with random ppl started with "hey I always see you in NLC". I do work in It Support and graduated college as a programmer so I am probably at the same level of knowledge as your friend.

same thing happened with me chirdaki, thread on sw http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthre...?t=1609453, i got my emails hacked and then the hacker went into my account, the diff is my char didnt got deleted just lost the items, (lol even the detox dude come into my thread). after that i still got some threats that could be done again and the char/email was not long safe, the hacker even asked me to give him the char since i wouldnt use anymore. my account used to be logged ALL day over weeks, so in the end even used d/c hack on me. i was the 3rd victim in a row in Windia that got hacked in the same way, then after this 2 of my friends got also hacked with same method, lost email then account and hacker even deleted one of them, a lvl 200 bishop. not happy in just deleting the char, the hacker took the SW account to change the text that keedi writed, http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthre...?t=1611672, few days after this incident another friend of mine got hacked on same way, http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthre...?t=1616538, in all this cases the email was a hotmail, no keylogger was found and all the info both email/pin and pass was changed in the process i am sure to say they didnt share account too, and emails wasnt touched just the maple account, that is 5 victims so far, and for what i know seems another person i know got hacked yesterday 30 dec. , but since the person is in China for holydays i still dont know for sure how, but looks is the same method again.

Do you think this will get worse once Nexon becomes BlockParty.com and all the "personal" info associated with people will be visible due to the "sociallizing" of Maple?
