An Immovable Sword - Flaming Katana quest in Perion

I am attempting to get a Flaming Katana, and according to other forums apparently the NPC is the Mysterious Sword in Perion, and you need an Undine's Cloth to start the quest. Unfortunately, this either is not the case, or the quest has gone bye bye. I suspect that I need all of the erasers to start the quest, and that the information was wrong, but I am reluctant to track down the last eraser that I need, in case the quest doesn't work.

My question is, does anyone have any information on this quest, or knows anyone that has done it, who could confirm how to start it? I'm stuck lol

I've only seen 1 flaming katana to this day, someone in Bello has one, which means the quest could be done. I had like 5 undine's cloths and there was no quest for it. It could be you need all the erasers too.

You need one of every real eraser and the Undine Cloth.

Oh boo, so I have to buy the last eraser to even start the quest and see if it's still working lol...

I saw the last eraser I needed in the MTS this week but passed on it because I wasn't sure if the quest worked.

I don't know whether or not it still works to be honest with you. Last time I tested it was Ver. 70.

Well thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll sell the erasers since I don't want to buy the last one only to find out it doesn't work lol... I can prolly sell the erasers for more than the sword anyway!

If you really want one, Deu (idk how GMS spells it, but it is the Ariant area boss) drops flaming Katanas in KMS. I bet Deu also drops it in GMS since GMS pretty much just copies KMS drop tables. However, I will warn you, it is incredibly rare.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of people saying it drops it (it's in the monster book list of drops, right?), but have yet to see a screenshot of it dropping one, so I guess it's pretty much never gonna drop it lol

It doesn't necessarily drop it. King clang supposedly drops blue seal cushion in monster book yet no one has gotten one.

That fire spirit should be Efreet, not Salamander. (Points at Tales of series)

I don't see what's so special about this sword. It's only 65 weapon attack. Just get one of those Crystal Blades. They look the same with the exception that the fire is blue.

It's not for being godly, it's a collector's item.

You gotta change your hair 50 times lol... I had some Maple Points, so I bought one of those 1 month hair coupons for 11K NX, and changed my hair 50 times on 4 chars. It's 80 HP, 80 MP, 10 Acc, 10 Avoid, 5 Hands, 5 Speed, 5 Jump. I quite like it, it's weird looking and it has decent stats!

why do you say that? Salamander's a legitimate Fire Spirit from Hermetic Alchemy.
