This is how you go from some guy drawing stick figures, to creating tentacle rape scenes.

no but most people who start off with a tablet won't start off with a $1,500 Cintiq or $2,000 Fujitsu...they will get the $79.00 (or $100) Bamboo.

This is how you go from some guy drawing stick figures, to creating tentacle rape scenes.

I haven't drawn a tentacle rape scene yet, and if I did, it would be in pen and ink. Pen and Ink > Digital Art... I rather see people bust out some really pro concept art with their tablets versus anime stuff that all looks the same.

Besides, I love my Bamboo. Though my first tablet was a Genius. Cheap but did its job~

There was 1 or 2 cheaper than the first, but they seemed smaller and werent that much bigger.

I never got past stick figures.

^^ My first tablet was the Graphire 2 back in highschool, then I ended up with a Toshiba Satellite R-10 (the convertible type) and then I got the Fujitsu stylistic (called a Slate) which is basically a laptop minus the keyboard and such.
A cintiq has the best pressure sensitivity amongst them. Drawing on paper has a different feeling than drawing on a screen and I hate to if my tablet is off by the slightest sensation. But I haven't been too concern with em, I haven't been doing much digital art. Fujitsu stylistics (the older models) can be brought on ebay for REALLY REALLY cheap, or you can buy the parts and rebuild your own.

When it comes to these things...you get what you paid for. I'd stick with anything wacom, I think some Japanese brands do well but most of the pen-able stuff I have used utilize Wacom drivers anyways.
