Well.. they should have redesigned Assassinate as a whole... just make it 4 hits -WHILE STANDING ON 1 PLACE, NOONE NEEDS THE ASSAULTER SUICIDE MOVE-, add 60% critical chance to all hits and add only 60% damage to each hit (same like critical punch for thunder breakers)... Then Shadowers would have some potential at bosses... even with these upgrades, Corsairs / Arans still do more then 2x the damage of a Shadower at lvl200... which is retarded for single target DPS endgame... (read: bossing).

In that video the guy went into DS while attacking so I'm not sure how a skill+DS macro would work out.
And by "attack" i mean the un-DS attack button which is instant afaik, though maybe they changed it so you can get out of DS by pressing the DS skill again?

Or they made it like Nightwalker have (Vanish), any attackSKILL can get you out of dark sight, though shadowers wouldnt have the damage advantage like NW's have...

The Shadower stuff is nice; however it doesn't really change the hierarchy of damage; just made us stay at the same position just dealing a little more damage.

Snap, I afk for a few days and all this balancing stuff has already started.
I was going to post a few ideas about making the Warrior and Archer "Final Attack"s kind of like Aran's Double Swing, implementing controlled stab/slash with Power Strike and Slash Blast, and replacing PA crusher and Spear Fury with skills that slashed and stabbed, respectively.
I wonder why they buffed Elemental Boost and BoT but left Archer Blizzard/Inferno/Arrow Rain/Eruption alone?
7 second freeze will be very sexy, though.

7 seconds is....... too much i think... say your 2hkoing skeles and your ~ 140... that means your dealing like ~ 50K average even if theres a 300K hp enemy ... thats like 5-6 hits to kill it and i believe cannon is more than 1 shot per min.. as far as i know there isnt any monsters with that much or More hp to them... so i dont really see any need for having a 7 second freeze even if your mobbing @ the strongest monsters in GMS.. is what Obv guardians ? they have how much hp liek 140K? 150K? by that point your cannon would be doing................ just over half that... what ~ 27K Per torp? and i believeeee its over 1 hit per second aswell meaning you would neeeed ~ 6 torps to finish a mob of Obv guardias and thats basically @ the weakest point a corsair could be there ayways..... and the freeze is even to much for those i think....another un needed addition for Corsairs if you ask me :S
I also dont really agree with increasing Rapid fire more just un neccessary... to me you shoudl stay in your boat!!!!
which leads to the only real upgrade they should have done, which is upgradnig the ship durability, i dont know if they added more hp to it per level or if they increased the Defence it adds by a bunch so that you take less damage.
and one upgrade i like but we didnt't really need is the addition of no gun-Wacking, this helps our out of ship damage but i think we didnt rly need this if they upgraded the ship
and to all the ppl pissing and moaning about how Epic Corsairs get even more Buffed up and more dps whores... well thats barely true, the upgrade did not affect our Cannon damage, it did not affect our Bullseye additional damage, it did not make us deal more instantaneous damage (Per hit) but it did ultemattly help to increase our Overall DPS when our ship breaks only.... so calm down >.>
and i do want to see what other increases theyre going to do to balance out the other classes, i would love to see how they bring all classes up to par and how much of an increase they will do since ~everyone~ thinks Corsairs are already the dps machines of maple what they would need to do to others to bring them up, i kinda figured they would just leave pirates for last but i guess KMS doesnt neglect their pirates like GMS does

7 sec freeze is really excessive currently, but who knows what higher level mobs we will get. No gun-whacking is more beneficial to lower level Gunslingers, especially in 1st job. Corsair upgrades weren't really needed since they're already a balanced class. However, they'll make Corsairs more appealing to other people. Corsairs may be powerhouses in 4th job but they're really weak from level 10-70 and boring in 3rd job if you take the Newties route. Also, people who haven't played a Corsair hate the idea of ship breaking and reducing your damage. Boosting Corsairs off ship and increasing Ship's durability will make the class more appealing to others.

I think 7 second freeze is fine. I sometimes freeze a mob and proceed to Air Strike/Cannon nearby monsters before killing the frozen mob. I'm not unused to having to refreeze with a 4 second Ice. The only thing I don't agree with is the change to Rapid Fire, but mostly because I hate the skill.
I don't want our class to seem more appealing because it's easier to play. The ship lasts more than long enough as it is. You can solo Pap without once breaking your ship before level 150. At 163 I can fit two Paps into one ship. How much more durable does it need to be?

The point is, other people don't realize this. Even after Pirates have been out for a year, a lot of the people I know think ship breaks in 5 minutes.

Take into consideration that Nexon plans to make even higher leveled content than your good old Skelegons.

Er no, we're actually quite good from 77-120 and decent from 120-150 before we get good again. These new changes only really affect the 140+ gameplay (since most people don't have maxed ship until then and more than 1 RF until quite a bit later), anyway, which is stupid.
And I guess the change to Double Shot makes 1st and 2nd job less aggravating for people who aren't good at training.

I think that's the point.
Nexon announced that with the balance patch, content that's higher than Leafre/Time Temple will be released so their goal is to balance the skills in a way that improves startgame and endgame.
Who knows maybe they'll create a monster that can instantly destroy battleship?

Such a monster would have to do over 100k damage. We'd be running into HP problems long before we'd have problems with ship durability.
