Battleship Cannon quest broken?

Okay, this is strange. I advanced to Corsair, got my Battleship, and Kyrin only gave me one quest.

"What the hell? Whatever, I guess they made it so you can only do one quest at a time...that sucks."
I think to myself, going through with the stupid quest. I go all the way to Ludi and back expecting to make another trip to Ludi after I finish getting my skill.

I come back to her, she gives me Torp...and nothing else.

She doesn't give me an other quest. She just says "Oh, cool, you're sair now! lol!" and exits the chat.

Am I missing something here? Is there some other prerequisite I need to fulfill for Cannon?
