That really is incredible. I can't wait to see what he makes utilizing his larger budget.

*Yawn*

Pop culture is too infused with end-of-the-world, massive-robot-attack, etc. stories. If he's still going to make this, please do something original with it.

"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" was also made like this, the original trailer was homemade in 1998 and then around 2002-2003 the creator got called from someone telling him that Angelina Jolie and Jude Law were interested in the project. (Can't find it in youtube right now, all I see is the trailer from the hollywood movie; I think the original tittle was in spanish "El capitán Sky y el mundo del mañana"

Also "District 9" was made from a trailer made from someone in South Africa.

Another thing I know is that someone uploaded a fake trailer for the Thundercats movie to youtube, he borrowed scenes from other movies and painted faces on top of them to make the actors look like Thundercats, well, he got hired to make the real Trailer.

Here it is:

It's not the concept that got him 30 million, it's the art work.

Hmmmm I think this one is better:

It's made by some dutch student (and friends) in his free time and it was released in March 2009.

It looks way more realistic imo, especially since it's not a zOMG Metropolis City, but just a medium sized town in The Netherlands (Nijmegen).
The realism factor is way higher! Smile

hahaha sorry I don't really want to attack you here but: GLITTERING VAMPIRES.

Come on, Dan. You should be able to see how amazing this is. The concept might be a little dry but the animation and just solidity of the video is incredible. Imagine getting that many people together to film without paying them anything?

And just the fact that this was just something he did for fun that has opened up some huge opportunity for him.

*YAWN* indeed.
