Simple Question about 2x EXP Events

Its Christmas Time so Nexon throws out 2x EXP Events, does that mean that Galicia get 4x since they already have a 2x Event for the whole time till January or does these 2 Events not stack?

Is it still possible to use 8x? I remember in Demethos with a 2x event, New 2x, and 2x Card you were able to get 8x

I didn't notice 4x this weekend when I was in Galicia. I think they 'learned' from Deme and Yellonde. :[
