Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread

I got locked up in her item throwing spam. If it wasn't for my Doggie she probably would have destroyed me. But yeah...she's not very fun.

There. I guess now I can say I've joined the SOLO FARIS on KING's Club.

I wish I had gotten a better screenshot though. ;_; She threw her blindness sand at me right before I killed her. She's the only thing that can cast blindness there, though, so that's proof enough. I JUST WANTED TO SEE HER DEAD BODY. But oh well.

I DID IT.

Used two tokens. Mages (especially Cloth lol) are so freakin' fragile against her. I started off doing excellent, felt really confident and got into the groove. But then she spider web grabbed me from HALFWAY across the map like my first encounter with her and I quickly grew scared. Died, of course. Respawned and tried running away. She did it again. Now I was panicking. Thankfully, I managed to escape on the second respawn. Reclaimed my groove and held it for her final three bars.

Feels glorious, man. I should have done it earlier but I cried for hours after she gave me the worst punishment of my life. Seeing MasPan and Mark do it gave me back my confidence to try again. Thanks guys.

Oh guys, this faris is stronger it seems...

700-900 per hit with mount, ends with a 2k hit, haven't seen her items yet...

And, in DnF, she has her own room on master's, she doesn't spawn with a method like in DFO...

I'm a battle mage, with maxed magic shield, plus its mastery, and she raped me with 1 mount... stupid sand -> net -> something that stuns -> mount combo...

Even if she is stronger, it doesn't matter all that much. lol Every time she mounts me after a spider web grab I end up dead too (Cloth witches are way fragile). Her own room would actually be nice. It's annoying having to deal with her and the crap around her. Getting stunned by a skull is not pretty when you have Faris on your butt.

In DFO, it would be easier for a BM, though. Admittedly. You'd be able to survive one of her mounts. But still...it'd be tough. She's not easy by any means, no matter what version you're playing. Battle Mages versus a vastly superior melee target is an unfair match.

I can't wait to challenge her on my Soul Bender. Ghost Step through the net, Rhasa to slow her down, Saya to freeze her and break her disks, then Ghost Slash Drive/Tombstone spam.

From 300 to 1700 damage.... of course I'm going to die if the first thing she does is netting me in a long and flat corridor....

Hoh wow. Level 34-35 was more than that before. Guess I'll get to 40 in like a day now.

And now DFO is just as pathetically easy as every other version, minus all the content. Awesome!

Since DFO is entirely a side project for me training to 60 on the curve that we had before might have been too much, judging by how fast the exp TNL was rising. So I do support the rate change. But they did it in the wrong order. They should've worked on raising the cap to 60 first. Then they could go back and say "levelling too hard? we're changing the rates!" Right now it just looks silly.

Exactly. Giving us the easy mode curve before we even have the real content is ridiculously backwards. This is stupid. I hate that they gave into all the whiners. I, for one, enjoy a game where you have to work a little to level. DFO's curve was perfect for 40. It probably would have been just fine to 50, as well. It should have been adjusted a little for when they gave us the 60 cap, but not this dang much.

Thing is, the EXP curve looks the same at level 30 and under. It's still a free ride to 40, but not that free.

Yeah but 30 and under were already pathetically easy. lol 30-40 was the fun part.
