Do what I did and move the attack key from Ctrl to another key, like one close to your pots.

I moved attack off of control and didn't have much of a problem after that.

What was that game... Gunz?

My friend uses a nonoffical PS2/3 controller to play, so no carpel tunnel for him.
I use G keys, so none for me. Big Grin

Playing in kMS with it on A was still hellish. ;_;
Who actually uses Ctrl?

change atk button to spacebar? you can use four fingers (xcept for your thumb) to press it. no stress on your fingers at all.

I'm changing mine to B.

I have always had my jump on spacebar, pickup on alt, attack on control, with all of the skills revolving around B. B is usually my most used skill, H being a movement skill (such as Teleport), G or V being a mobbing skill, N, J, or V being support skills, Delete and Insert being my HP and MP pots respectively, and the rest are just haphazardly placed wherever on K over, with my chairs on A, S, D, Z, X, and F.
I also never use anything but the Buddy, Equip, Quest, Inventory, Medal, Family, and Monster Book hotkeys. Never found use for any of the others.

I set up my keyboard for comfortability.

Rest my hand naturally on it, see where the fingers go (C F Y J) - I chose these partly because of the little bumps on F and J to help me keep my hand centered. Big hands small laptop, it's probably ok to go ASDF or something on a fullsize.

Those 4 keys get my primary training buttons (jump, loot, attack 1, attack 2). Then I see what's comfortable near them and add any useful buffs there. for example G has mana pots because my laptop keyboard does not mesh well with the quick slots. I usually put booster on X.

Most classes don't have more than 2 attacks so it's really not an issue. My brawler has H and K for attacks, as well as possibly in future X and V. I guess I use K for Rush on my Paladin, which is kinda the 3rd attack.

In terms of comfort the worst for me is the spacebar. It cramps up a lot and I'm better off not using my thumb at all during training.

I should note that I don't use QWERTY so my Y key is not actually the same as NPC chat "yes". You'd probably want to move everything over a key or something to compensate, because having the NPC chat on "yes" is really useful.

Controller with Turbo settings. No other way to play.

It's hard to pull off a Combo Smash though. I keep thinking QCF and that just makes me move forward and attack.

I don't play Maple with this normally, but Aran made me use this. I usually use X as my primary attack, but even that started hurting my finger. So I decided to plug this guy in.

I always use X as my primary attack button, and usually place my skills on the left side of my keyboard. I should probably get out of that habit and place my keys a bit further from each other.
