Anything Wrote:Ah, okay, thanks for correcting me. I don't follow the NFL much but I remember when the Dolphins won their first game some of the players were crying out of joy, what a moment eh? And damn, stupid Bills are moving to Toronto, we don't need the NFL in Canada, CFL is the way to go.
I think that Retalion was talking about 1899 Cleveland Spiders losing all their valuable players because the owner of that team had also owned the St. Louis Perfectos. The owner then decided that St. Louis would have a better fanbase than Cleveland so he traded all the stars from the Cleveland team to St. Louis in return for garbage.
I agree that the Mariners have lost a ton of good players in the past, but the past is the past right? Btw, I laughed at your Louisville slugger comment.
Just in case anybody cares, the Blue Jays lost. They had a 4-0 lead at one point but we managed to lose it and the game ended 8-4. I honestly can't believe this, we have the best bullpen in the league and our starting pitchers are also suppose to be the best in the league...this just doesn't add up.
@ the Blue Jays thing: Well, the Marlins have the 27th best starting pitcher ERA and are 1.5 games out of first... something definitely doesnt add up xD Things can look good on paper and... sadly not work out in reality, lololo.

S> (or better yet) EMBRY There's no need to cry, the chances of a team winning against Halladay are very slim, he's arguably the best pitcher in the league and IMO he is.

LOL! Well the Mariners can still tie the Mets' record of 120 losses in a season if they lose all their remaining games.
Hmm, so all the teams in front of the Jays lost, that only makes the Jays 10.5 games back of the division leader. Yippe...

If the Jays are getting in, it's as a wild card.

you'll stop =/= I'll stop (though they won 2 straight so they cant go for any reccord now).
Odds of Jays going on a 49 game winning streak = odds of mariners losing 49 xD

A fairly good chance, then! Haha, just kidding.
CC Sabathia's doing pretty good after he left Milwaukee. (I think I spelled that wrong...) Speaking of, Prince Fielder and Manny (I think that's the one?) Parra nearly got into a fight in the dugout during the game, Fielder has put out a retraction.

Prince Fielder thing was awesome, the manager actually said that he preferred his players doing that rather than sitting on the bench and moping around. Ever since the incident the Brewers are 2-0(?). Jays need something like that happening in their dugout too if it means that we'll be winning more games.

The odds of any team losing 50 games straight is just mind boggling

Shea Hillenbrand. "The boat is sinking" That accomplished nothing.

The Hillenbrand case and the Fielder case are completely different. Hillenbrand insulted his teammates and his team by writing "the boat is sinking" because he wanted to be traded to a team that was a contender. On the other hand Fielder shoved his teammate because he wanted to spark his team up, he wanted to show his team that he is really passionate about winning, he wanted to spread the intensity he has to his teammates, etc, etc and it's working. The Jays need someone like this on their team to give us a little boost. Right now the Jays have a bunch of players that like to sit on their bums when we're losing, someone needs to step-up.
P.S. Hillenbrand sucks.

Let's say someone on your team was pissed at you because of your lack of effort, would you not try harder next time to prove to the person that you're giving it your all? This also goes for the other teammates because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want anyone pissed at them either. Hence why he "sparked" his team, he created an effect that made his teammates try a little harder, and that extra effort goes a long way.
The Jays are starting to surprise me, our offence is doing much better than earlier this season.
Btw, is anyone excited about the Olypmics?
P.S. Hillenbrand is playing with an Independent league right now. *starts laughing*
