Aran Ring
#21
I really hope they don't make the rings stackable so you can get all 3. It looks like you can though.

Maple Text in "Epic Aran Events Wrote:Recieve Lillian's ring when your Aran levels up to 30, 50, and 70.

It seems to be each time, but Nexon could have worded it differently.

You have to hand the old ring in to get the new one. Only way to get all 3 rings would be to make 3 arans.

Do we have any proof to back this up?

Then lets not assume until the first person hits level 50.

Of course they do. >_> If they gave you three different rings, that's beyond broken. I don't think even GMS would do that...

Scratch that... That sounds like GMS type pomegranate, but I still doubt GMS will allow you to get all three different rings a once.

need to trade in rings to upgrade them.

lvl50 aran in GMS confirmed it.

We still don't know if there's something stopping people from just making 3 Arans on the same account though. The 3 rings idea was stupid in the first place. Even if they don't directly let you keep all 3 rings (by removing one from your inventory when you upgrade), people will get all 3 anyway by just making 3 characters. One to 70, one to 50, and one to 30.

My two mules on my account aren't doing anything but collecting dust at level 20, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has 2 useless characters on their account. Giving us that extra character slot makes it possible to get 3 Arans on the same account as your main without spending on NX.

Edit: Okay, so you do have to trade your ring in. Now lets see if there's anything stopping someone from making multiple Aran, Maybe having a limit of 1 ring per account rather than character. Let's hope Nexon had the insight to do this.

So 6 months to raise two Arans to 30, delete them, raise two Arans to 50, delete them, and then raise two Arans to 70 for a total of 150 levels. I think I can do that if I really try. . . . .

Lets see...

Ring #1 (level 30):
Requirements:
1.Being aran
2.Being level 30
3.Being before the 10.06.2010 (dd.mm.yyyy)
Rewards: Lilin's Ring (#1)
No beginning\ending script (meaning all the info is inside the wz files and there cannot be any surprises).

Ring #2 (level 50):
Requirements:
1.Being aran
2.Being level 50
3.Being before the 10.06.2010
4.Having the ring #1 quest finished
5.Ring #1 (consumed upon finishing)
Rewards: Lilin's Ring (#2)
No beginning\ending script.

Ring #3 (level 70):
Requirements:
1.Being aran
2.Being level 70
3.Being before the 10.06.2010
4.Having the ring #2 quest finished
5.Ring #2 (consumed upon finishing)
Rewards: Lilin's Ring (#3)
No beginning\ending script.

As for if the rings can be equipped together (by making arans and deleting them), the WZ files say nothing which is why I am strongly leaning towards yes. The rings themselves are one-of-a-kind though, so it is impossible to wear two of the same ring.

I don't see why you can't make one to 30, transfer ring, delete/make another to 30, transfer, repeat.
Does the Bank check for one-of-a-kind? ie: Karma'd zHelms.

1-30 can be done in a day if you're not lazy. 30-50 can be done in about 2 weeks or so. 50-70, not sure since this is usually the stage where classes split more noticeably on their EXP per hour.

It isn't hard at all to do, so long as you have the patience to start over.

By the way, it'd be better do it in descending order, so you get the more powerful rings first, and so by the time you make your last Aran you're not thinking "ugh, now's the hardest part" and lose motivation.

Take out the hardest one first, that way even if you give up on the other two, you still walk away with the strongest ring.

If the rings themselves are one of a kind, then you can't equip 2 on your main character anyway. Unless you have 2 characters you want the level 30 ring on, this method is pointless. To wear more than 1 Aran ring, you have to collect the different leveled ones.

Wat? Are there any other one-of-a-kind rings that this has been tested with? I've only ever known OOAK tag to affect looting. Stunned

Ah, I see where you're getting at now. I would imagine that the storage doesn't allow you to take out a one of a kind item if you already have it in your inventory. I doubt the tag only applies for when an item is looted.

"Is this item in the inventory? Yes? CAN'T HAVE ANOTHER IN THERE. No? Okay then."

A well designed game would have such limits... but this is Nexon. I'm not so confident in their ability to foresee these kinds of things.

I posted a topic about that in the scroll lock forum not long ago. When you have two OOAK etc\use\install items, you can put both in storage and they will stack, and then when you take them out you have a bundle of OOAK items. However, since equips can't stack, it will not allow you to take them out of the storage.

I take it no one has gotten to the "i'm remaking the aran now" and successfully equipped 2 rings?
