Competitive Smash.. lol j/k, Competitive Pokemon.

I love competitive battling in Pokemon.

@Claw: The problem with Crits in Pokemon is that you can seriously abuse the hell out of it. Regular moves have a base critical (level 1) chance of 6.25%, high crit moves add one level of critical. Focus Energy adds two levels of critical while the items Razor Claw, Scope Lens, and Super Luck add one level of critical. Stick for Farfetch'd and Lucky Punch for Chansey/Blissey add two levels of critical.

With all the combinations and stuff you can get a max critical level of 5, which has a 50% chance. On top of that, critical hits ignore the defender's +[Sp.] Defense modifiers and the attacker's -[Sp.] Attack modifiers.

Problem with your match was that you used Pikachu . . . >_> QA has no STAB either, and if you were aiming to kill that thing, well, I wouldn't expect anything without non-STABBED to take away over 20% of Weavile's HP, to be honest. Though I'm amazed you even used Pikachu. Was that a non-OU match or what? Hmm

That was when I was a noob at competitive 3895713095873128057 years ago (well, more like half a year ago. I just started it back then eh?)

Although I assure you the other two matches was me at my peak (c'mon, I actually was on my last Pokemon vs. Aznseal's last Pokemon AznSeal is good).

Anyways, running calcs on that match right now, I had a 50/50 chance of koing him.

Doing this with Pokémon on your DS is more fun, and time consuming ofcourse.
I'd love a match since I haven't realy played since last summer, when I finaly beat my friend with Pokémon. (After like 5 years, he had T-Tar, Metagross etc.)

Personally I always try to include at least two out of my six favourites when battling against others.
Man, how much I love Umbreon is undiscribable, she perfectly walls out any non-steal type
I'm mainly using alternitive ways to win, so I don't have too much attackers or walls.

BOAH!")) however, being young and inexperienced, I quit when my server, which was basicly my one and only PC, started to come under frequent attack. :f6:

I am highly doubtful any of you saw it, but it was a gym of the Normal type, and generally someplace else to battle away from the Smogon community. On that note, I used an all normal-type team then, and still do today. Then it was Tauros, Snorlax, Slaking, Zangoose, Dodrio, and Porygon2. It's mostly the same except Dodrio was switched out with Staraptor and Tauros with Togekiss. My goal was to be something the likes of a high-caliber gym leader, which was met with just the right amount of success (60/40 win/loss rate)

I've also recreated this team on Pokemon Platinum too, if anyone is still into battling that way! Ever since the official tournament held earlier this year, I've been favoring double battles over the normal ones.

Oh, yeah. Shoddy. No sorry, I don't like Shoddy I loved Netbattle's interface loads more.

Shoddy's massively cock-sucking ass-licking interface is why I refuse to play it. It's so goddamn atrocious. Also, no, I haven't seen your server. I used to go on a Brazillian server my friend often went on, just to battle him. I normally frequented Smogon.

I played it awhile back, but it takes so much time. I remember having a Charizard with a set I copied from someone. I also used a Swampert, Dragonite and Breloom iirc. I had them saved in notepad but they're not on this computer. This makes me want to play again. I have to find the file and download shoddy on this computer though.

What's the difference between netbattle and shoddy?

Shoddy's a Java app, and has 4th gen. Don't remember NB because I didn't hang around with the devs then.

You rock just for having Gardy in your team. Gardy isn't a great sweeper, but I favor Gardy as a Pokemon because it looks ADORABUUUUUUUULZ.

I used Regirock and Gardy just because I like those two, the rest are for winning matches.

All you need to break a Ninjask now is a Roar + Stealth Rock lead.

Gardevoir is a decent special tank but I mainly use her for Wish passing and harassment. I wish I could remember the other half of my team but I was always switching them around. Spirittomb was actually my favorite Pokemon on my team since it was an excellent started, no weaknesses for the win!

Wish-passing Gardy, huh? In 3rd Gen, I had a slightly-speedy spe-attacking Gardy for the purpose of > Jolties / Vaporeons. You know those Jolteons that doesn't have BP?

What I did for my Gardy was to have this set:

Mean Look, Psychic, Calm Mind, Rest

^This rapes even Bliss, no joke, bro. With "Trace" ability + Mean Look, it's rape. I trace Vaporeon/Jolteon, trap them with Mean Look, CM x6, and Rest if they are about to beat me or if they status-inflicted. Then it's rape the rest of the way, assuming they don't have BP.

I tried playing 4th gen, that's when I quit, I think. They changed the entire physical vs special combat. @.@;

As far as phys/special went, the usual, fire is special, fighting is physical, and so on. 4th gen, was when they split it in a way that it depends on how the attack is executed which equates to it being a phys/special attack. That's where I got lost. Since I've never even seen the animations, since I haven't even touched D/P ;-;

They're really overdoing it with the new Pokemon crap. I hope Ash gets to fight that one kid from the very 1st Pokemon League again. That kid that looked like Ash, but with brown hair. One of the best Pokemon matches ever, imo.

I think you're referring to Richie. I remember in the anime manga in one of the Richie vs Ash fights, they both summoned their secret weapons - Charizards. It was such a brutal fight, blood was shed. (I mean it!) Unfortunately Ash lost because his charizard was wayy to violent and bit Richie's CZard.

AND THE PIKACHU, SPARKY (i think that's his name) IS SOOOOOOOO CUTE.

It's pretty obvious, for the most part. It made NO sense that Spark was a special attack, even when it said "electrically charged tackle", same thing with Volt Tackle.

When in doubt, use Serebii or Bulbapedia. The physical/special split messed me up also when I was playing Heart Gold, since I've never played D/P/Pt. I thought my Red Gyarados would be epic if I put Hyper Beam on it, only to find out it's weak as hell on Gyarados.
