To all bowmen: Safety Charms

Do you use Safety charms? I mean seriously, It's such a pain to lose 8-10% when you die. I'm level 123 and I just started buying charms from MTS nx. Do you guys use them? If so what level?

From 80-90 I used at least one a level but I don't buy a lot of nx and I don't sell much in the MTS so I'm not using them anymore. I'll just have to focus on not dying.

I'm generally leveling at sharks ever since level 90. The dark blue ones can 1hko me if they get me with their jaws. I still don't use them; they're a waste.

I extremely rarely die unless I'm on suicide runs (which includes some bosses... bowman hp stinks ). Of course, if I'm expecting to die, I won't be above 0.5% anyway.

I've never used a Safety Charm in my entire time playing MapleStory. That isn't to say I don't die, I just don't find Safety Charms worth the exp they save me. And I don't have a problem with grinding that exp back for the stupid mistake I made by dying.

i started using them at about 100. i die every now and then since i tend to have lag spikes and lately because assholes put anego <<<. right now even 1% is over 5mill exp >_> so they are much deff worth it.

Also, do any of you guys notice that we only lose like 5-7% now when you die? Or maybe it's just me? O_O

I noticed that too. It was part of a change in some patch (.56? I can't really remember).

I never used a safety charm, unless you count the free chocolates from valentine's event. On my bowman, I've died only about 5 times unintentionally. Also, I never got high leveled enough for it to be important enough to spend nx on it.

I think I was lv 103 when I was finally able to charge paypal and get some charms. They have been indispensable ever since as I still die a few times a level.

At like lvl 170, if you die and you don't have a safety charm, you will be hitting the brick wall with your head. Of course, you will probably have a skill level that is sufficient to rarely die, but it can happen to anyone.

So far I'm 91 and get by fine without em. Since I can pull about 25-30% an hour, I have better use for NX than them.

I might start using them at 120+. Definetely use them by 150+.

Currently 10x soon 11x, still no use. I've died at newties once lols. ._.

If I had a specific use (possible death) in mind, I might buy one. Generally I'd buy the pack though. It's like 500/each for 5 or 700 for one, isn't it? I know it's something like that.

I don't normally grab them, but I was planning to get one when crimsonwood is released because I get the feeling I'm going t be killed there at least once.

Ive never spent money on safety charms so... yeah. I do have 5 left in my inventory since 2 friends gifted me 5 each for my birthday 2 months ago.

I think I had safety charms for when I was 95 to 112ish, then none till 122 till now at 127.

I dont die in training very often, especially when I set up hb mules for almost everything (Pap, newties, skeles, peak, etc). 2 of those times was when I couldnt get my 2nd comp to work for pap, twice when I ran into anego and once when I got careless at skeles at like 2 am.

I guess sometimes I want to be careless cause those charms are going to expire on me D:

It's sort of like a cycle for me. I always buy a set of 5 right before I quit orrr I die some sort of stupid death after not holding charms for a good 2-3 months.

When I was playing I started using safety charms around level 80ish because Newties would more often or not kill me.

But yeah, I would usually just buy safety charms individually with my remaining NX(which usually isn't a whole lot).
