Given some of the vids I've seen, it doesn't seem like any level 120ish Evans are using Dark Fog or the other 10th advancement skills...
These master levels actually make more sense, in terms of earning the actual skills (i.e. having enough skill points to spread around) as well as balance. 9th Master should be at 120, otherwise they'd be getting Maple Hero earlier than every other class, etc.
It also explains why fairly high leveled Evan are not shown to be using any Blaze despite its power up.
Bribery Wrote:How much faster are the attacks with the new +3 booster? Because without booster, Blaze and Illusion are still weaker than Paralyze in terms of DPS.
I was going to post exactly this. I'm sure with Booster the DPS beats Paralyze just after after watching the one video on the other thread, but I think many of us are curious as to the exact cast speeds. Especially if they're around Paralyze's 11+ Booster cast speed of 0.714 seconds, which would make comparisons that much easier.

Damage per minute, averaged (meaning mastery was applied)
Evan with AMP + Critical + Fury
Skill
Without Booster
With Booster
Blaze on Single Target
24864
30602
Illusion
25730
31668
Mage with AMP
Skill
Booster
Paralyze
19757
Chain Lightning
17741
Note that I didn't count the basic attack buffs because someone told me that Soul Dragon and Magic Mastery add magic attack, not the base attack on each skill.
With the above charts, Illusion is only 60% stronger than Paralyze if both mages have no elemental weapons and same stats. If we count elemental weapon, then Illusion is only 28% stronger. Blaze would then be the strongest skill on an Evan because Illusion is a neutral skill. Blaze would only be 55% stronger than Paralyze.
I'm not even sure if Blaze would be affected by Elemental weapons, because it's a summon doing your work and not you. If the Evan's dragon works the same way all the other current summons in the game do, then Elemental weapons would not work on an Evan.
So if EW work on Evan, they're 55% stronger. If EW don't work on Evan, they're only 24% stronger.
That's hardly an improvement. It's an improvement, but not enough that an Evan can compare with the other nonmage Adventurers at DPM. You'd have to pretty much double the single target damage of an Adventurer mage to do that, and even then, the damage wouldn't come close to Aran's damage. And with a nonspammable ultimate, Evan are weaker at mobbing than Adventurer mages are. GG.
At least they didn't completely trump the mage class like they trumped the warrior classes with Aran.

Hm. I feel like I need to clear up some things.
1) Blaze was barely improved in this update, with only 10 more base attack (320->330) and no speed change.
2) The more hits = crittability issue only applies to weapon classes, as has been stated; with mages, critical affects everything equally. Therefore, Illusion does not crit better than Blaze. It's true that there will be more crits with Illusion, if you're just counting them, but when Blaze does crit, it crits hard. Look at the Flame Wheel numbers; they'll be slightly higher than that.
3) There is most likely no 10 base attack boost, according to JoeTang's investigation of the Korean characters used to represent "basic attack" and "magic attack".
Keeping this in mind, here's your comparison.
Critical Magic is 1 + 0.25 * 0.7 = 1.175x multiplier
SE alone is 1 + 0.15 * 0.4 = 1.06x multiplier
CM + SE is 1 + 0.4 * 1.1 = 1.44x multiplier
Base Attack * Amp * Critical / (Cast time * Booster coefficient) = final total power
Bribery Wrote:^ Don't forget Blaze and Sharp Eyes.
Hmm...
Sharp eyes is 6% DPS improvement for Adventurer Mages. If the 15% critical rate is added onto Evan's critical rate, that means that Evan get a 144% improvement in DPS vs. 117.5% improvement in DPS.
So:
Evan with AMP + Critical + Fury + SE
Skill
Without Booster
With Booster
Blaze on Single Target
30472
37504
Illusion
31533
38810
Mage with AMP + SE
Skill
Booster
Paralyze
20942
Chain Lightning
18805
Illusion is 48% stronger if Adventurer Mage has an EW. If the Evan has an EW too and it works, then Blaze would be stronger by 79%. If the EW doesn't work on Evan, then Evan is only 43% stronger.
