Where do you guys go to hang out?
#1
Disclaimer: This is for my own personal read. Please do not bash my, or other's opinions and choices of where we like to hang out at. Also don't bash at our choices of activities, it's just rude. Inb4loltourneypapayas

These days, besides working, going to school, hanging out with girls, shopping for clothes and games, I've been going to a small cafe down the street. Down the street, in both directions, there are a ton of bars in my town, but I prefer going to a cafe to hang out with my friends.

The manager knows all of us, and he usually closes the cafe around 11PM, however, under some circumstances, he'll let it open up until 1 AM or so. On Monday nights, there's always a Magic the Gathering group coming in to play, it's called "Magic Mondays" or something. But me and some of my buddies plays Smash, so we actually bring in our own TVs and set up a small corner with GCs and controllers. I usually play Smash around 7 PM til near midnight anywhere from .. Tuesday - Saturdays. People usually come for late night coffee, lattes, etc. It's pretty fun, sometimes we have people coming in and doing Jazz shows and stuff too. It's like my little MAN CAVE down the street! It's usually not too crowded, just the way I like it. And also, yeah, sometimes we'll do money-matches, other times, it's just for fun.

Where do you guys go to hang out with your friends on a daily or weekly basis? The mall can count as an area, though it's too typical of an area.

My friends moved to Oregon. That said, we used to jam in my friend Petahhh's basement, play Capture the Flag (manhunt meets flag football) in the Cumberland Monastery, go to shows (usually in The Living Room or Oki Street), explore abandoned buildings, walk around the woods... I miss those days terribly. I still go to shows with people sometimes, but I guess I'm rather picky as to who I consider to be anything more than acquaintances.

My years of formerly working at a mall have shown me that they are terrible places filled with terrible people doing terrible things.

Dang. That Cafe place sounds like THE place to hang. Sounds great and relaxing...

Anyways, when I hang out with my friends, we usually just go to someone's house in the group. We alternate each weekend and such of whose house to hang out at. It's pretty nice, I suppose.

Sometimes I'll actually go and hang out at my work, though (the Rec Center). On rare occasions I'll bring my Xbox 360 and hook it up to the big screen there and play Guitar Hero with anyone who wants to play.

Me and my anime buds go to a nearby legends burgers where the manager gives us some occasional free food which is nice. We just sit and watch anime on like all our different laptops, fun stuff.

well, i would either go to this coffee shop a girl i used to be familiar with (by that i mean we used to be friends, now i refuse to speak to her) to just sit and relax, maybe write some poems/prose, and get a good lunch. or other times im with my friend at his place playing on his 360, which we normally play L4D2 on. sometimes halo 3, but mostly its L4D.

I just moved to New Jersey from Oregon this summer and I don't have any non-girlfriend-friends (yet). D:

But before that, the guys used to hang at my house all the time. I had the coolest mom out of all of us and yeah it was just really fun.

Is it wrong that this made me chuckle?

This. You can catch Rick and Heidi for the 9pm news and Sarah is brutally yet hilariously honest.

I stopped going out regularly a while ago, but when I did it was mostly either clubbing or partying (pre-drink-drinking) and other lady things. During the day the activities were more like shopping or going to the beach.

Recently I've started taking a couple hours out on thursday/friday/saturday night to grab a drink with a friend but that's about it. I just stopped caring about all of that stuff.

I like to hang out in the computer science lab. Or in a cafe (food one, not internet) / other cool place with the rest of my university's Computer Chicks Club. Oh yeah and on my MS guild's irc network.

And I don't like to complain, but this frustrates me a bit

*sighs* You're never going to get it that I find that really annoying. *doesn't care about all that news stuff at all and gets sick of being force fed it on irc*
This is all I'm saying about this here. Just felt that I should have a right to say this here.

Usually (if anything), either at a friend's house or party with friends.

...or at school.
