Note: This is not a rant. I decide to screenshot it, because some girl named SweetXAngel4, or SweetXAngelI4, or whatever she is (Offranks much?) posted a comment about Thanksgiving, and posted a link which I am not going to bother going there (Keylogger alert!)

Here's my question. What the heck is going on? I mean I don't celebrate Thanksgiving (I done that before, but since I don't wanna be in the USA anymore, then no, I don't). Her grammar sucks hard to be fair.

Have you guys ever gotten this message?

People do this all the time, they just want to keylog you so they make up some random ass story as an attempt to lure you in.

Just forget about it, it means nothing.

I got that message. I just ignored it and remade my shop to make it disappear. I don't know why he CAPd the random letters:

No special message I'm assuming.

Not only is the grammar and spelling outright bad, the way they type makes me never want to even bother sitting through and reading that junk to even find out that it's just a dumb keylogging ploy.

I think the theory behind it is that if you spend longer reading it, the more likely you'll be to go and visit that website.

I wouldn't visit it regardless though.

On the contrary I am not American anymore.
I chose to be Dutch since I had duel citizenship so I got to choose which I wanted to be. I wasn't content with America so I became full Dutch xD

That message makes us Grammar Nazis want to scream.

This looks like a job for RDal and every other grammar Nazi on SP.

I guess they're thinking something along the lines of: "They'll spend so much time trying to decipher it that they won't think about the risks!"

In reality, I think it just makes most people wanna stop reading at the end of the first sentence. They should have just stuck with that "Hey, I put you in my video on my site! Let me know if you wanna be taken out of it at www.hacku.nub/video/keyloller.exe!"

At least then people may take a quick glance at the message and go "huh?" and check it out. With this, it discourages people from reading to the very end.

Not that I'm giving them ideas or anything, I just think it's a stupid ploy. But hey, whatever floats their boat. Maybe they're just experimenting a little to see which technique nabs the most people.

I got this on my shop during thanksgiving. I was just in time to catch the very same user and replied. After some joke exchanges we chatted a little.

Besides being the obvious n00b lamer/scammer, he was a pretty cool guy. He was actually very literate and wrote in proper grammar, but just told me that using that kind of grammar lured in more people. He actually got a few people fall for it and got a few accounts.

I guess you can never underestimate how dumb people can get and fall for this.
