Proposed 4th Job Build (In order)
#1
Seeing as almost all builds that have been posted for 4th job are in a format that does not give you the order in which the skills are to be maxed, I decided to share my skill build order. I'm not aware of any level requirements to obtain certain 4th job skills, so I'm just going off what I think would be fun/effective.
 Spoiler
Then proceed to max MW. I chose this order based on the assumption that you will be Skeleing with a bishop past 14x, and so I chose Combo Barrier over High Defense because it benefits your whole party in bossing and training. After what I've heard from Matt, Final Swing isn't always that convenient, so I opted for powering up my staple skills via Aggression in lieu of powering up Final Swing, the 1 point simply for finishing off low-hp mobs from a range. From there I maxed out Final Swing for greater mob DPS, since it's obvious that it can do well in that regard. I don't regard Freeze Standing as an extremely useful skill because Smart Knockback makes monsters your b'itch, so being knocked back isn't a big problem.
For anyone who wants to know where I got some of my ideas from:

Isn't it easy for other Warriors to hit 5k brandish, crusher, etc which is a Skelegon's KB?
By that logic, why do they bother getting Stance?

Also, where is Tempest in your build? o-o

Definitely max Freeze Standing before High Defense for bossing purposes. IIRC, Smart Knockback doesn't work on bosses anymore so you're going to need Freeze Standing to prevent yourself from getting KB'd.

If you'd watched the video I posted, he easily KB's skeles to the point where they are unable to attack him, which is something none of the classes you mentioned can do to my knowledge, not to mention Arans can prevent themselves from taking any touch damage, which is a problem for other Warriors.
I forgot Tempest, but it doesn't seem overly useful. I'll max it before MW, I guess, since you'll be party training if anything.
I guess I'll switch my High Defense and Freeze Standing.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I did watch the videos.
I never understood how constantly hitting 500 damage as KB is any different than constantly hitting 5k as KB but okay then.
I did forget about Body Pressure though, I'm still not sure if you have to touch the monster to cause the "godmode" status effect or if your attacks cause it. If it's the latter, then I do see why you wouldn't prioritize Freeze Standing.

Freeze standing > final blow.

It's a matter of preference. Considering I probably won't be too into bossing, I'd probably go with Final. However, since most people are suggesting standing, I'll switch that around for our conventional cookie cutter.
EDIT: For the one above Steve, it's the former, not the latter.

If use this build, when do you propose one could HT? (presuming I wash)

I am neither fluent in what's required for HT nor does anyone know the current Aran HP washing formula, so for now it's all speculation. The state of the build seems pretty solid, though, so I may very well take it, provided mastery books are a decent price.
Any suggestions?

both cause the godmoded effect. body pressure hits monsters that you touch (like pg, but damage is based on range rather than damage received) until they are in the pressured mode

Pressured mode can be caused by attacking them with your polearm, though.

No it can't.

Unless you mean that by attacking them, they hit you, and thus get pressured, then sure. That's some dumb logic though...

This video was posted in JULY. Considering the fact that i have not seen anyone able to do this from 3rd job and up, i'd say it was changed.

Just quote me and look at the syntax for embedding.

Considering the fact that smart KB pretty much stops mobs from attacking in 4th job, if you kill them fast enough, you won't get hit.

And if you do, drain.

This guy's totally giving them the snowflake status without having to deal touch damage.

Ya, body pressure's physical attack 'seal' works with any way you can deal damage to a mob.
