MapleStory is turning Multi-gender.

Saw this while fishing. What's next? The only proof it's a male character is that he's wearing lv 70 male thief clothes, and his face.

Oh wait... How does this event work?

Is it just afk galore? Or it has some tricky thing for the medal?

Just stay afk forever until you get something.
Exchange and get your medal/earrings.

In all seriousness, there are already people trying to make traps in Maplestory. This just helps them out. I'm still wondering if we'll be getting these hairs in GMS, and if so, will they stay female only?

Probably not, K-ON would have to be in english first, this is part of the K-ON tieup, in which nexon japan is probably paying them a shitload of money for the rights to do this.

Yeah, I realize this. But I kinda thought it may possibly have a chance of going to other versions, with "nicknames" rather than blatantly stating what character the hairdo comes from. Such as "The pianist" or something, for Mugi's hair. We all know how strange Nexon can get with hair naming.

It all just depends on what the agreement was. Was the contract just for Nexon Japan? Or Nexon as a whole.

Agreed, we've seen how Nexon named the Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist equips. Fire Shadow equips for Naruto, Alphonse Elric equips are "Chaos Armor" equips, and most of Ed Elric stuff= Alchemist equips (I think the hair is also called that, but I'm not sure).

It's not unthinkable that Nexon would come up with weird names to cover up for the stuff.

Well, if you excuse me, I'm going to dress as Mugi on one of my characters.
By the way, the fox pet weapon that the Mio-trap has looks pretty sweet, I can't wait for it to come to GMS.

We've already had the April's Fools genderswitch clothes. I don't see how this is worse.
Why not just go the whole hog and remove all gender restrictions on the CS? I've always wanted to wear that sassy witch hat on my shad anyway.

People call them "traps?" W'tf? Why does there have to be a new label when they can already be called "cross-dressers." Jesus...

Who. Cares. Unless they're obnoxiously bothering/harassing, let them express themselves the way they want. After all, straight Japanese men marry Love Plus virtual anime girls. And you think virtual cross-dressing is strange?

The term 'trap', referring to trannys, has been around for quite some time now. Where have you been?
