Effects of Aran on KMS?
#1
In order to better-evaluate what's going to happen when Aran arrive here, I'd like to hear some opinions from KMS players as to what happened in KMS during and after the release of Aran. Some specific questions (if you could answer or guess at any of these I'd be interested to know) :

1: Did they get bandwagoned in the same way as pirates were, that is to say a bunch of people made them, found out they aren't as great as they expected, and quit, thus making the weapon scrolls cheaper again? If so, about how much cheaper relative to the pre-aran prices and their peak price.

On the reverse side were they more of a diamond in the rough? Underestimated at earlier jobs only to end up really impressing people in 3rd and 4th similar(ish) to corsairs?

2: Have any classes felt short-ended by Aran? Some videos I've seen hint at them playing as a stronger and more interesting hero, is there truth to that?

3: Theory aside, do arans seem to be good bossing characters, or are they better suited for solo training? If they are indeed good bossers, does it only become so after 4th job?

Also a random question, but can Aran add HP/perform HP washing? Also when did that purple surfboard event happen, how long did it last, and what did it require?

That's all I've got for now, would appreciate some info on any of this. Glitter

1: The prices went up before the Aran patch and the price of scrolls skyrocketed. They have went down, but still remain the most expensive weapon scrolls in KMS. I missed the first month of Aran because of a vacation my dad had planned.

2: I haven't heard anyone really bitch about it in KMS, aside from guildies who have no idea what they area talking about. I am sure some people feel short-ended though.

3: I have only done Papulatus, and I believe I would have been a bit better when I could have knocked it back more often. But just watch the videos.

Random questions: Don't know/remember

i have heard of washed aran's, so the random question seems almost positively so. They'd be more or less screwing them over from ever going to PB otherwise.

also, i see no logic for either nexon korea or nexon america to take a way such an option. Seems like it'd be more work to make less money.

There isn't any real serious bossing until after 120 anyway.

It was a summer event. Cooler boxes dropped from monsters and all you had to do was open them. Then you got an item. Pretty much 9 out of 10 times it was a crappy transformation potion but you could also get a pink tube to trade into Cassandra for the pink tube weapon, a yeti mount skill. You also got the surfboards from that. I got one of the Level 95 ones myself and they must have been common because at the peak of the event they were selling for 100k in the server I play on Stunned

Well I meant some ways into 4th job, requiring one or more skills to be about maxed (level 130+ or 140+).

Summer event, huh? For some reason I thought they pretty much came with the cygnus guys. Here's to hoping we'll get them one way or other.
