Not expecting this thread to get many replies, since I'm not sure how many of you are into shoujo anime, but I wanna make this thread.
Anyone into Sparkles n' bubbles n' s hit?
It's actually one of the only series from this season that I'm following.

I'm really enjoying this anime so far. It's so mellow for a "slice-of-life" anime.

Somehow knew this was coming after seeing your usertitle yesterday. Not following it, unless daily /a/ counts. lol Kinda like...condensed version, especially with all the threads.
Main character is definitely cute.

Didn't watch episode 7 yet, but it definitely is among those I look forward to most this season. Not really into shoujo anime, but this overcame my initial doubts quickly. To be honest, I didn't really notice the sparkles and bubbles. They were there, but not really disruptive or productive towards my viewing experience.

Shoujo = girl, it's target audience is females. Though, it doesn't mean only girls can like it, just like how it's not unheard of at all for girls to enjoy shonen(those targeted at boys) series.
They just focus on more "girly" themes.

Yeah, I really like it's mellow feel to it. It's got a nice pace to it and everything. I kinda felt this way about Aoi hana, but that series just kinda got a bit boring at parts. So far Kimi ni todoke is keeping my attention fixed on it. It's a very (wait for it...) refreshing anime.

Sparkly bubbles really gives it away? Seriously, everything sparkles and bubbles in this anime. I mean, I'm used to it, caus lots of shoujo anime does it, but not this frequently!

Don't get me wrong, I don't find the sparkles an bubbles takes away from the series.

Oh, I wasn't implying that. I was trying to answer your question. I've usually enjoyed whatever shoujo stuff I came across but they generally don't capture my interest if I'm say, browsing through a list of anime or manga. I would consider the sparkles and bubbles an unnecessary detail, but I accept that as a unique characteristic of this genre so it doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes, it's used to a nice effect though, in Kimi ni Todokefor example, I thought it helped show how Sawako sees Kazehaya, or Sawako's smile in the view of others.

If you had to follow anything 2009 Fall, it would be Darker than BLACK, Nyan Koi!, and this.

This is my favorite show of the Fall 2009 season. I am a real sucker for fun slice-of-life shows.

Really? The first episode didn't really impress me.

Gets significantly better in my opinion anyways. Though I did enjoy the first episode, it was weaker than the others. And Felix likes loves cats.

It's true. I actually thought about picking up Nyan Koi! (even though I haven't followed any recent series in quite a while) because of the cats. I've seen it has some delicious females too. I dunno. For some reason, nothing lately has appealed to me. I've been far more into manga the past months.

The only series I've been keeping up with this season are Darker than Black 2 and Kimi ni todoke. Unless you count OVAs or specials.
Episode 1 of Aoi bungaku caught my eye a little, but I didn't continue from there. I may keep watching it though, at a time where I've nothing else to get into really. Doubt there are any Sunred fans here, but I thought it was a pretty underrated comedy back when season 1 aired. I've not had a chance to watch season 2 yet.

You said that this thread wasn't likely to get many replies yet now it has 15. lol
I watched the first three episodes of this and while I enjoyed it I got lazy and haven't watched anymore. It kind of makes me wish I had sparkles and bubbles for everything I did even if it would most likely drive me mad after a while.
I should check out Sunred again, I thought it was okay, better than most other stuff.

Hmm, that is true. I guess maybe I'm just more used to most communities not having any idea about the stuff I'm into. Most communities that even have anyone into anime only have those who stick to the popular stuff. As if they don't want to experiment with their own tastes and just watch something because it's been plastered everywhere.
Nice to know there's someone else here that thought Sunred was okay. Even when season 1 was airing there wasn't much attention on it. I think it's a pretty nice series with that "haha, oh wow" kind of humor.
Watch it at your own pace, it's certainly the type of series you can pick up and put down whenever you want to keep it fresh. I watched episodes here and there too when season 1 aired. I may do the same thing with season 2, but I haven't looked into 2 yet.

I loooooooooove this anime so far, I've been following the manga too. I'm a sucker for the sparkles and bubbles and Sawako is just too adorable! Usually I'm not one for following an anime seriously but I've been watching this every week so far, nice to see some other fans on SP.

So today, I sat through episode 1 JUST because this thread seemed to convince me thoroughly enough and....
Uh-huh, and....
HOLY SWEET JESUS- MY EYES! THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING! SO MANY SPARKLES THAT MY EYES ARE STARTING TO .
But in all fairness, I did not find them distracting or disruptive to my experience, but I did pay attention to how many times they played around with this because of this whole thread.

By the way, Kazehaya has some lousy memory. Who the pineapple is this supposed to be? Nope, DEFINITELY not Sawako. Yup, I'm almost certain of it.
The situations and characters in the show are absolutely cute, and it looks like nice and mellow fun. This is REAL nice and mellow fun versus a certain crappy series highly centered around and reliable on moefail characters. I had fun during it, and laughed a bit, so I'll definitely continue on around with this. It may be the best thing I've seen out of this fail fall season: Aoi Bungaku felt like a lot was lost in the translation from the novel and jumping ahead into the plot for more action to start the series didn't really help me, Seitokai no Ichizon and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (the only two other shows I'm watching) aren't anything too special, Darker than Black S2 is supposedly awesome except I have yet to see S1, I haven't yet watched Nyan Koi, and then I hear the rest isn't anything that great.

Yeah, I watched it up to episode 7, but I have a habit of getting lazy about anime. I am less likely to follow up on anime on a weekly basis as I am manga.
